November 26, 200223 yr Hi Guys,Opened a new thread to make things more readable.Like I said in the original thread, there seems to be a problem with the data analaysis toolpack addin. Service release 1 might help, but I can't promise that (see previous thread). It seems the problem is that the analysis toolpack does not automaticaly loads when you open the spreadsheet.A workaround for that is:1. first go to the tools menu -> addins2. verify that data analysis toolpack and analysis toolpack VBA are selected.3. if so, uncheck the data analysis toolpack, and press OK.4. now go there again and re-check data analysis toolpack, then pressing OK.5. now you need to update the spreadsheet - Office XP ussers may press CTRL+ALT+SHIFT+F9. all other versions must update manualy (F9 won't work) - The easiest way is too enter edit menu, and choose replace. the ask to replace all equal signs (=) with equal signs (again, =), and select replace all. this will recalculate the spreadsheet.now check if you have errors and if everything worksa normal now.Let me know!Bye,IlanPS - Just a reminder - Wagner Beskow said he is busy this week, and will be back here afterwards. I am providing the help I can till his return...Edit: knew there has to be one :-) just found microsoft article on this issue, you can read it here http://support.microsoft.com/default.aspx?...kb;en-us;182190(this is for excel 2000, follow the links in this page for other versions).
November 26, 200223 yr Hi Ilan,Thank you for your support!I tried your workaround but it didn't help for me, sorry. :-(Any other ideas?Bye,Sven

November 26, 200223 yr Just make a clean install of Excell with all updates and if you read the documents included you'd have known to turn on alot of functions before using the sheet.I had no problem with it on my Excell 2002/XP....
November 26, 200223 yr Well, I was a bit more drastic, and I unistalled Office Xp and then installed Office 2000. It works now!.I dont'n know the reason.Regards,Jose M. BarruezoSpainhttp://ftp.avsim.com/dcforum/User_files/3de1357e7af53983.jpg
November 26, 200223 yr Hi guys, well, I was at work the whole day and of course internet connection was down all day Anyway, the problem is with the data analysis toolpack - it is malfunctioning in some cases (the microsoft syndrome :-)). It is not SR1 related, I checked that today, neither it is version related. It mostly happens at european localized versions, but it might be incidential. However, currently the possible solutions are:1. what I said above in the first message - It worked in a test I made.2. reinstalling EXCEL, then enabling the toolpack (enable also the VBA toolpack, it might help).3. It is possible to make a fix, I can actually do it if Wagner allows. If so, I will also try to add some functions like conversions from metric system.I am working on this issue right now, drop me a message here or to my mail if you have questions, answers or suggestions.stay tuned!Ilan
November 26, 200223 yr Ilan,Your help is really appreciated!Tried all your tricks, uncluding uninstall and reinstall of Excel: no luck. Hopefully you'll find some workaround for this sheet.Kind regards,Stephan Haas
November 26, 200223 yr A patch will be made if needed, however I am waiting for Wagner's approval or return (next week or so).Stephan do you have the time to do some checks? If so and you have your messanger on, drop me a mail.Ilan
November 26, 200223 yr Well, as I satated in my last post, the reinstal of office 2000 works... only to the moment I had try to modify the data and create a new route. At this point, the things were wrong again.Regards,Jose M. BarruezoSpainhttp://ftp.avsim.com/dcforum/User_files/3de1357e7af53983.jpg
November 26, 200223 yr Good news regarding the problem:I made a workaround and it works. It was probably a bug in localized versions of excel.Anyway, I am waiting for Wagner's approval, and if it is OK with him, I'll release it tommorow morning. Thanks to Mr. Stephan Haas for his cooperation today, and to Mr. Phil Z. for yesterday!Bye,Ilan
November 26, 200223 yr Fellow simmers,This guy is magic, it works :-)Thanks for all the work, and when you're in Amsterdam::-beerchugKind regards,Stephan Haas

November 27, 200223 yr Hi Ilan,Everything works fine now.Thank you! :-)And also a very big compliment to Wagner B. Beskow and Rob van Leest for their excellent work!Regards,Sven
November 27, 200223 yr At last!. Thank you very mauch for your's time and efforts with this problem, althought the Zulu time I think isn't fixed yet.If Wagner plan to update the Dispatcher with the ETP calculations, I hope that I can help with this.Regards,Jose M. BarruezoSpainhttp://ftp.avsim.com/dcforum/User_files/3de1357e7af53983.jpg
November 27, 200223 yr I am actually working on ETOPS addition right now, but it needs a complete database replacement. I am working on improving the database, which currently has many errors.I am checking this whole issue, and I still need Wagner's opinion, so you'll have to be patient for now...I also have some new ideas like ATIS autofill and more. however you can suggest anything you can think about for future developement.Anyway, I suggest that before moving onward, we will all concentrate on testing this current beta for bugs and errors, like Wagner said. Thanks for your kind words guys!Ilan
