I never noticed this before, on page 108 of the manual there is a picture of the flight control indicators on the eicas status page, and below the elev indicator is a digital readout of stab position. The thing that is odd is that I dont ever remember seeing this on my status page, was this something removed by one of the patches? does anyone have this indication on their panel? Also I have never seen this on our 757's , possibly just an option for the 767?, it will be late december before Im on a 757 again to confirm this ,and I can see nothing in the op's manual about this.

the only thing i remember being removed is the brake temp indicators on the EICAS...

They removed it in the last patch because it was unrealistic.

To my knowledge, it was there soley for debugging purposes and was inadvertantly released with the final product (and later pulled with the FS2002) patch. No such feature actually exists in the '67 after which PIC was modelled.J

Thanks guy's, I thought my memory was slipping for a minute there, I know I had never seen this on a 757 but was unsure about the 767, with some of the sutle difference's between the two.

Are those AIL indications seen during maintenance (or that 767 has a STOL kit with "flaperons")? I've never seen both left and right down at the same time.

Dennis, the EICAS shot was taken with flaps 5.I don't know if this is "normal" for the 767 or in PIC is not modelled this function.I also see that in the Posky model the flaperons comes down in flaps 25 not in flaps 5.See this pics:Flaps UPhttp://ftp.avsim.com/dcforum/User_files/3de7ba7434069756.jpgFlaps 1http://ftp.avsim.com/dcforum/User_files/3de7ba7c342dadbf.jpgFlaps 5, the flaperon is down. http://ftp.avsim.com/dcforum/User_files/3de7ba993476dda1.jpgRegardsCharly - BAW062

Dennis:What I am saying is that the "flaperons" (A control surface on an aircraft wing functioning both as a flap and as an aileron) moves and stay down at flap 5, at least in this 767-300... :-lolI don't know if that apply for landing or not..but for takeoff this 767 when in flaps 5 the "flaperon" moves down, in the Posky model they move down at flaps 25.A real 767 pilot or the people who really know maybe can tell us if this is normal or not?on takeoff roll:http://ftp.avsim.com/dcforum/User_files/3de7e7c24d354bca.jpgRegardsCharly - BAW062

Wow, I never noticed that before. Thanks for pointing that out. Do you suppose that is what is shown on the EICAS? I new that the inner aileron (better name?) moved with the tip ailerons, but I didn't detect the 5^ drop. Thanks again.

I keep reminding myself to check this out for myself, but never seem to get the opportunity. It's important to note that different series 767's have different droop for particular flap settings:http://members.ozemail.com.au/~b744er/767/AileronDroop.gifHope this helps.Cheers.Ian.
