December 7, 200223 yr I have an MS Sidewinder Precision Pro USB that I am trying to recalibrate using FSUIPC. One problem I have continually had with this joystick is its noticeable asymmetry when it comes to applying a uniform amount of gain in response to joystick input. For instance, I find if I deflect the stick left about half way, I get between 2/3 and 3/4 of maximum on the output. If I deflect right, I get just slightly less than 1/2. It's a bit like driving a car with bad alignment ;-)I won't even get into the squirrely behavior I see when deflecting the stick fully along an axis. This is hardly "precision" anything :^)Anyway...is there a means of independently adjusting the gain curves in an asymmetric fashion for "positive" (right) deflections vs "negative" (left) deflections using FSUIPC or is it a "one scale per axis fits all" kind of deal? Thanks for any feedback.J
December 7, 200223 yr Man I have that same stick and problem Lol. Time for a yoke! Best Wishes, Randy Smith Randy J Smith
December 7, 200223 yr I hear that! Thank goodness for Christmas ;-) That AFCS setup reviewed by AVSIM looks pretty slick, but doubtful even Mrs. Claus - cute as she is - will ever justify $549 on any flight-related "toy" of mine.J
