December 8, 200223 yr Hi Wade or Laurent,Could either of you please contact me at: [email protected]'m building a home cockpit, where I'd need to know IF FSUIPC has any variables defined for PICs autopilot (and other systems). The FSBUS implementation is working fine now with keyboard assignments, but direct FSUIPC access would be much more reliable and faster for external hardware.Thank you for your assistance!regards,Terops. here's a pic of my current MCP panel, with correct layout (there's one extra though, can you find it? :)) PPL(A)
December 11, 200223 yr Author Hi!Bump!Guys??btw, this is the MCP layout that the panel will get soon, it will look pretty much exactly like this.500$ for Aerosoft MCP vs. 50$ for a FSBUS-based MCP that works _flawlessly_... seriously.... Tero PPL(A)
December 11, 200223 yr yeees, i found the extra one... it's the G/A :)btw nice concept. even though it doesn't look like it, it's the operation that's most important... i gues it'll help your flying alot since mcp changes are more easily made...cheers
December 11, 200223 yr Author Lenny,You hit the nail on the head with that one!Trust me, flying is SO much more fun (and dare I say: realistic) with even an MCP that doesn't look like the real one. The main thing is that it works, and works well indeed.cheersTerops. it's kinda difficult to use external hardware at first, as opposed to using the mouse on the screen. It takes time to get used to, and I believe that the concept of having the entire cockpit around the pilot is very, very different from having it all neatly packaged on the screen... I have some experience in the Cessnas/Pipers but they don't have much of a cockpit, so FS is not so different from those planes IRL when using only mouse in the cockpit. But the case for a big airliner is an entirely different one :).
