December 17, 200223 yr Hi everybody. After Chris solved my drunken taxiing yesterday, I ended up witha different problem.I lost my manual brakes!!!!!@@@@@It is not every flight but like 1 in 3 flights I lose right from thestart my braking ability without any reason I can think of.Has anybody else have the same problem? Please advise!Thank you kindly.
December 17, 200223 yr I have never heard of this problem. Are you using the {.} or have it used through a joystick? Randy J Smith
December 17, 200223 yr HiI had a similar problem a while back, it seems that the logic for the breaks actually working gets reversed somewhere along the line. When it happens again, try reselceting the aircraft in the FS menu bar!:-)
December 17, 200223 yr Yeah, I've had this happen. Do you use the PIC767 as your default startup?I've had this happen if I change to a different plane after starting FS2K2. I solved it by creating situation files for each of the a/c that I fly. Then, before I start FS2K2, I go into fs2002.cfg and type in the situation file name for the a/c I want. When you create and save the situation, you need to first start FS2K2 with the Default Meigs situation. Then change to the PIC767, verify your brakes are working, and then save the situation (after configuring the cokpit the way you want of course.)Solved it for me.James
January 12, 200323 yr Actually I have had this happen to me several times and it seems to be tied in with the pushback. After I activated Lago's FSAssist; NO BRAKES. I even tried the standard FS Pushback (Shift+P) and again no brakes. Whenever I did not use a Pushback feature I had brakes.Rick Rowe
January 13, 200323 yr I must admit that the only time I have ever had a problem with the brakes in PIC is when Lago's FSmaint took out the hydralics system just before tod into UUEE (that will teach me to check the airframe time when I check the plane out of the hanger).End result BAW976 landing with no flaps 180ias, no speedbrakes and no autobrakes, (manual went out to)The only way I could stop the crate was with the reverse thrust, so after I stopped the L/H enfine had FOD.Lucky for me UUEE was unmanned so not so bad.Lesson learned: Always, always check the maint logbook before kicking the tyres and lighting the fires.Cheers,Chris WillisBAW976Captain, 767 Fleetwww.bavirtual.co.ukwww.speedbirdonline.co.uk
