Just a thought about the FMC

Featured Replies

After watching the Air DO WorldAirSeries about the 767 I came up with a question.. It came to my attention that the 'load' times of the real 767 FMS are quite longer than in the PIC fmc. Pressing the legs page could take up to 2 secs(maybe longer?) to load. (screen is black while loading)Is it possible to tweak the software in a way that it takes about the same time to display a page in the 767 fmc too ? Making things realistic is copying the less-popular thing too isn't it ?Thanks for running your thoughts on this

There are a few things that are not timed with the real 767/757 but most are no big deal. What would a couple of seconds matter while bringing up a certain FMC page? Some people's systems are slower so loading can have alot to do with that too. When it comes to a cold start there are things that go faster than the real life 767/757 that I would like to see emulated better but I am more than content with what I have. What changes we really need are compatibility with the up comming Fs2004!!

Hey Randy,I asked this also two month ago and all the same anwsers : no more updates for it!!! It

Yes you are right about the "welp" guys not doing an update! But there are some very talented members around here and you never know what they can come up with! I too am really looking forward to some of the new aircraft comming up shortly. The PMDG's 737ng is on the top of my wish list. Flight one's Piper Meridian is also a incredible looking bird that is a "must have". Those gauges oh wow do they look real. But I do not want to loose my beloved 767. Maybe I will have to have Fs2002 AND 2004 on my system!

Regarding the Air Do video... I remember popping my eyes when I noted the captain wearing racing gloves when flying manually :-coolBTW have you seen the Leisure B767-300ER video from ITVV ?From the three 767 video's that I have, I find this the most instructive one, featuring good clear panel views.

I've been looking at the ITVV video, is it good quality? One complaint I have about most Worldairroutes videos is that they don't show the instruments a lot. However, in some programs they show more.

I bought both DVD's a year ago and the one thing that got my immediate attention were the racing gloves the pilot had on.. Pulling them off when on cruise and putting them back on when they started taking the bird down.. Maybe he's scared of the yoke getting slippery ??Anyway both video's are worth the buy, and both have their charms.. The Leisure has a bit more instrument views, while the Airdo video has two extra Cabin view flights which are actually quite cool to watch and are in good quality.take care

"Don't laugh - I need my reading glasses." :-lolMartin767 fetishistIt's a lot like life and that's what's appealing

Any public transportation operator (driver/pilot etc) uses white gloves as they are white and resemble purity, as they try to get good luck from wearing these. Guess it would help with keeping the yoke dry due to the sweat. :-lol
