December 26, 200223 yr anyone know how to correct the small problem when u set flaps 1 and the inboard trailing edge flaps extend as well as the leading edge slats? i believe only the slats should extend when flpas 1 are set.
December 26, 200223 yr Gooper, Inboard leading slats or outboard or both? Best Wishes,Randy J. [email protected]" A little learning is a dangerous thing" Randy J Smith
December 26, 200223 yr randy when I set flps 1 both the inboard and outboard slats extend as well as the inboard trailing edge flaps. i don,t know if this has something to do with Lee's merge program or not? if u can help out it is appreciated- by the way thanks for all your efforts on the landing views!!
December 26, 200223 yr Ok this is what I have found on this, The B767 is provided with leading edge slats, and trailing edge flaps for high lift during takeoff and landing. The inboard ailerons also droop in conjunction with flap extension. Actuation of flaps and slats is normally from the centre hydraulic system, and a back-up actuation method is by electric drive motors, should the centre hydraulic system depressurise. The electric standby system takes considerably longer to drive the slats and flaps to the desired settings - about 3 minutes from zero to 20 flap. Here are two screens, one of the default the other Posky, they BOTH extend inboard ailerons with flaps 1.Notice how the default aircraft's trailing edge flaps DO NOT EXTEND with flaps 1!Default plane is first picture comparisonBest Wishes,Randy J. December 26, 200223 yr thanks for the info randy, i will have to try and play around with the flaps section of the aircraft.cfg file to see if i can solve this monor problem.
December 26, 200223 yr Gooper, I thought that this made it clear to you that they ARE supposed to extend with the flaps? So there is no problem to work out. Plus the only thing I noticed was on the DEFAULT aircraft which showed no flap movement with flaps 1 but the Posky did.Best Wishes,Randy J. December 26, 200223 yr Randy, I believe u stated that the inboard AILERONS extend with flaps 1 setting- ailerons are not flaps unless u meant to say flaps.anyways I did manage to get the flaps section of th aircraft.cfg file tweaked so that only the slats extend with flaps 1 but by doing this I managed to screw up the flaps indicator on the panel (sigh!!) back to square one!

You stated that there might be a problem with the POSKY aircraft and I showed you that there is no problem at all although the default aircraft's external view showed no movement with flaps at 1. That does not mean that it is not modeled correctly in the default only that I did not see any movement.Hope this is clear enough Best Wishes,Randy J.
