Gentlemen of the board: I am finding that before takeoff, my F/D's pitch bar stays on zero pitch or sometimes disapears off the ADI entirely! Then, on takeoff, the airspeed indicator (speed tape version) begins to jiggle and fluctuate widely. What gives? Be grateful for any help and also some idea as to which settings for FS2002 Pro might give the smoothest performance on my relatively de-rated computer running at 500 MHz with a 64meg card. Many thanks, PBR.

Is the jiggling speed tape due to turbulence? See if it happens with weather completely cleared.I believe there is a setting in the FS2002.cfg file you can adjust to decrease turbulence. I think I set mine to 0.2.Lee Hetherington (KBED)

Well the Pitch bars should not dissapear as you already know PBR. I think your 500 MHZ might have something to do with it. What is your gauge refresh rate set to? Best Wishes,Randy J. [email protected]" A little learning is a dangerous thing"

You sir, are correct! Had the wx set to "jiggle IAS" setting and now all stable again... many thanks, PBR.

Sorry the delay in answering your Q Randy, long week in the sim and my brain a little frazzled! I have the refresh rate set at max, good idea or not? Thought this might give me the smoothest rendition. Any other settings which you might suggest I enhance or degrade in order to get the smoothest panel appearance (external view not too important for me...)-PBR
