January 27, 200323 yr hello, in PIC767 how can I hold only the altitute? I found that when I press ONLY the altitute hold button, the autopilot will not only hold the altutute but also steer the aircraft toward the heading in the heading window.
January 27, 200323 yr I have no problem using the ALT HOLD with PIC. Are you using the FMC with LNAV selected? You say you ONLY select the ALT button but if that's the case how does the auto pilot engage without selecting anything other than ALT HOLD? Are you using a saved flight? Give a little more detail Marvel.Best Wishes,Randy J. January 27, 200323 yr "I found that when I press ONLY the altitute hold button, the autopilot will not only hold the altutute but also steer the aircraft toward the heading in the heading window. "This is the way it should work (as it does in real life on 767's which do not have CWS (Control Wheel Steering) buttons on the MCP). Only aircraft which have Control Wheel Steering can do this (and this is not modelled in PIC) I'm sure that you'll find that this is mentioned in the manual or the FAQ's ;-)Cheers.Ian.
