February 3, 200323 yr Hey Cap't B Ball your about to get a new toy, Delivery of a new 757-300 (N588NW) today, after 2 years at paine field we are delivering the 757's at Seattle again ,its nice to have them back, Its a nice change of pace from the 737NG.
February 3, 200323 yr Commercial Member You'd have to check with him, but I thought NWA got some 300's a few months back - I seem to remember him posting pics of it on the ground. Ryan MaziarzFor fastest support, please submit a ticket at http://support.precisionmanuals.com
February 3, 200323 yr Yes they have had some -300's delivered already from paine field, but now they are back at the seattle delivey center after a 2 year absence. I know one of them was damaged in taxi incident with an A319, as we have an AOG crew doing the repairs.
February 3, 200323 yr I used to work in the 757 program at northwest. 5808 will be the eigth -300 that northwest will be taking delivery of. I got the chance to go out a pick up 5801 and PAE and bring it back. They are beautiful aircraft and boeing treated us really well. I have picture of the delivery flight on my web site if anyone would like to see them. alcornl.no-ip.com and go under pictures.
February 3, 200323 yr Took a look at your site Luke looks good, I see your into motorcycles also, do you race or just ride on the street? gotta love that jet powered Bike. This 757 has the new ISFD(integrated stby flight display)to replace the 3 standby gauges. It looks like this was not implemented on your previous delivery.
February 3, 200323 yr Yeah I know about the new standby display. 5801-5803 do no have those on them due to money and certification at the time. I did not get to see one of those in action before I left, but they look really nice. I do not race, just street riding. If you can get a picture of the panel with the new display I would appriciate it.
February 3, 200323 yr I dont have my camera today, but here's what the 737ng version looks like, its identical to the 757 version, only differing in color. the pictures poor quality, I will try get a pic of the 757 one as we have n589 here also.
February 3, 200323 yr That would be great. I also want to see how the whole panel is cleaned up with getting rid of the extra instruments. Thanks again.
February 5, 200323 yr Here it is , there was some rework going on that we needed the plane powered down ,otherwise it would look like the 737 version with a speed tape ,altitude tape, compass rose , baro setting, and loc and g/s info.
February 5, 200323 yr Thanks alot for the pic. That really unclutters the panel alot. I think the airbus guys that transition to the 757 are really going to like that.
February 6, 200323 yr LMAO :-lolI think they are taught to fly when transitioning to Non-Airbus AC :-lolBest Regards:-waveRodrigo NavarroKSAN / MMTJ
February 10, 200323 yr Hey guys!Luke, great website! Lots of good pics....I see you're a "rotorhead" too. I was weened on helos when my Dad was in the ARMY, and I've never lost my love for them. I found an FBO out at Fleming that offers training in the TH-55 (I know, I know...it's a Hughes 300...I grew up in the ARMY remember? :)), and was going to start my training in the fall of '99. Unfortunately, that's when I started my "adventure in medicine", and it was all put on the back burner. I hope to get back to it someday. I too, used to be BIG into motorcycles, but alas, after the marriage thing almost 8 years ago, my sweet little Honda VT100 Shadow was replaced by my first computer....a Gateway P100....LOL.I spent all day Saturday in 5808 doing a "Phoenix turn". It was my first time in that lovely machine, and the day was a real joy. I had been on vacation since early December, and it was a wonderful way to come back to work after almost two months off. The new ISFD is really cool...the next time I see one, I'll take a pic and throw it up here.Everyone take care,BBall-------------------Capt. February 11, 200323 yr Thanks for the kind words BBall. Any more pictures of the 757 will always be appricated. I will always have a soft spot in my heart for that beast of a machine. Just to answer the above post. Northwest is supposed to start flying the a330 to eham sometime between september to possibly december depending on money and scheduling. They will take delivery of it in july.
