February 22, 200323 yr How can I save a situation to use later? I had no problems in FS2k2 only in PIC767.When I try to save I'm dumped out of FS2k2. This happened before I installed the third party patch as well as after.I'm using the latest version of FSUIPC. I'm sure all you experts must have an answer because Wilco Pub doesn't;they just said to ask here.(Great support!!)Thanks
February 22, 200323 yr It's because of the "Third party devices patch". If you don't have an external MCP etc don't use it! You will have to un-install PIC 767 and use this in-stall cleaner : ftp://ftp.wilcopub.com/W767Cleaner.exe And make sure to go into the Flight Sim's main folder and remove the Wilco Publishing folder etc that's left over before you re-install Pic. Just use this patch and all should be back to normal: ftp://ftp.wilcopub.com/767PilotinCommandPatchFS2002.exeBest Wishes,Randy J. February 27, 200323 yr Many thanks Randy, it worked fine.I had hoped to do it without reinstalling but I've got everything working again.( I use a Britannia Aiways model and callign as used to for real.)Can you solve another, please? I occasionally lose atc after landing or after a long pretake-off taxy and can only get it back by going out of full screen mode and back again ( I don't lose engine sound). Also is it possible to get British Airways/Speedbird, United, KLM callsigns to work? I get others like Air France,Air Canada?cebrown
February 27, 200323 yr I can't help you with the loss of ATC problem but to get the callsigns you mentioned to work, you need to do the following.Go to your FS2002Aircraft folder and open the AIRLINES.CFG file with a text editor like Notepad or Wordpad. Check the list and make sure you have SPEED BIRD, UNITED and KLM in the file. If you don't have them you can either manually enter them or download an Airlines.cfg file from the AVSIM library that contains all the airlines recognized by FS2002.Now go to the FS2002Aircraft folder and open the folder containing the aircraft that FS2002 has problems recognizing. Open the AIRCRAFT.CFG file and scroll down to the section that starts with ------square brackets. Each section should have a line that says, " atc_airline= "If you don't have that line you need to add it. So for a Britannia 767, for example, you would have a section similar to this: -----------square bracketstitle=Boeing 767-300ER Britanniasim=767 Pilot in Command Wilco Publishingmodel=BRTpanel=sound=texture=BRTkb_checklists=767PIC_CHECKkb_reference=767PIC_REFatc_id=atc_airline=BRITANNIAatc_flight_number=atc_heavy=1visual_damage=1ui_type=767-300ERui_manufacturer=Boeingui_variation=Britannia Airways -----------square bracketstitle=Boeing 767-300ER United Airlinessim=767 Pilot in Command Wilco Publishingmodel=UALpanel=sound=texture=UALkb_checklists=767PIC_CHECKkb_reference=767PIC_REFatc_id=atc_airline=UNITEDatc_flight_number=atc_heavy=1visual_damage=1ui_type=767-300ERui_manufacturer=Boeingui_variation=United Airlines
