Left Rudder in FS2002

Featured Replies

Hi all,I have noticed a strange behaviour on my PC with Win XP Pro + FS2002.When I try to apply left rudder (with the keyboard not a joystick)to any aircraft,it doesn' work but right rudder works well (very annoying). This happens only under Win Xp, I have tried with my old PC under Win98SE and I can apply left rudder. The installation of FS2002 Pro is the basic one without any add-onsCan someone of you help me?It would be greatly appreciated

Mmm... never heard that one before.I assume it's a new installation of FS2K2 on another PC ?Check this:1. In FS2K2, look in Menu-Controls-AssignmentsAt the bottom of the list, find "Yaw left (rudder)".Is there any key assigned to that ?If so, try another key and see if that works.2. Is your rudder trim properly centered ?? (unlikely cause)3. Are you sure that no joystick/yoke/pedals axis is assigned to Rudder by accident ?Check under Menu-Controls-Assignments, tab joystick.I'm almost sure either 1. or 3. will solve it. I'm very curious :-)Rob

Hi,Turn your NUM LOCK off. My rudder controls work on the Num ENTER and Num INS keys, but the left rudder doesn't work for me if the Num Lock is on. Try it and see.Cheers,Simon.

thanks to all of you for the replies.I just switch the left rudder key assignement to another key and it works.under win xp and fs2002 my NUM INS key doesn't seem to react and it is not the case in win98SE very strange.
