Since a couple of days I cannot longer enter a temperature for derated take-off power. I enter a number, but the LSK2L just blanks again and on the upper EICAS the letters DER-Take off won

What is the temperature that you are trying to enter?If it's single digit i.e. 5C, you must enter it as two digits i.e 05otherwise it will not be accepted by the FMC.Regards,George DorkofikisAthens, Greece

Are you entering a temperature higher than the current outside temperature? If the temperature you're attempting to enter in the Thrust data block of the Takeoff page is not greater than the current outside temperature it will not be accepted.
