POSKY/PIC 767 HOW TO

Featured Replies

Many folks seem to be having a problem either finding the merge files or installing them correctly so here is how I do it.1] Go here and get a merge file. If you have a POSKY GMAX 767-300 aircraft, get the POSKY v3 {gmax}767-300. http://www.sls.lcs.mit.edu/ilh/767pic/2] If you don't have one, go here and download a POSKY 767 {Open Sky} aircraft. http://www.projectopensky.com/downloads-index.php3] Here comes the fun part. Unzip the MERGE file, best to put it on your desktop. You will want to rename it. I rename the folder to what aircraft I am merging so lets say we have a American 767. I name it thus: B763 PIC POSKY3 American Airlines You can name it anything you wish.4] Now, unzip you new POSKY aircraft also to your desktop. Locate the MODEL and TEXTURE folders. Copy or move these folders whole into your MERGE file folder that you just named " B763 PIC POSKY3 American Airlines."5] Now MOVE the B763 PIC POSKY3 American Airlines folder to your flight simulator aircraft folder. It should be here: C:Program FilesMicrosoft GamesFS2002aircraft Now open your new folder and hit the "setup" ms-dos Batch File. It will pop up a Dos box, just hit any key to close. 6] You will now change the newly created aircraft CFG file so that flight sim knows what type of aircraft you have. Open up the aircraft cfg and locate this: [fltsim.0]title=763 PIC/POSKY3 Airlinesim=767 Pilot in Command Wilco Publishingmodel=panel=sound=texture=kb_checklists=767PIC_CHECKkb_reference=767PIC_REFatc_id=REGNatc_airline=AIRLINEatc_flight_number=1234atc_heavy=1visual_damage=1ui_type=767-300ERui_manufacturer=Boeingui_variation=PIC/POSKY3 Airlinedescription=767 Pilot in Command panelnProject OpenSky visual model And this is how I modified my new aircraft cfg: [fltsim.0]title=American Airlines 767-300ERsim=767 Pilot in Command Wilco Publishingmodel=panel=sound=texture=kb_checklists=767PIC_CHECKkb_reference=767PIC_REFatc_id=90atc_airline=Americanatc_flight_number=90atc_heavy=1visual_damage=1ui_type=767-300ERui_manufacturer=Boeingui_variation=American Airlinesdescription=767 Pilot in Command panelnProject OpenSky visual model And you can now choose it from the aircraft menu under: Aircraft Manufacturer - BOEING Aircraft Model - 767-300ER Variation - Whatever you have installed in this case "American Airlines".You can do this for each aircraft that you want , just repeat the process for each aircraft you install. Lee has a way to put them into ONE FOLDER but it might seem to difficult for some so this way works just fine.Best Wishes,Randy J.
