Lee's IVSI/TCAS With My VFR Panel

Featured Replies

I have made it as popup for those of you who wish to use it with my panel. If there is much interest, I will post a simple how to or just a zip file.........Here's a screenshot. It also uses a hidden click switch insted of the "Shift+" routine..Best Wishes,Randy J. If you attempt to follow these instructions be sure you can navigate with "Windows Explorer" which is found in the start menu or through the "My Computer".1] Make sure my VFR panel and Lee's gauge are installed.2] Locate the B767XML folder within the flight Sim gauges folder. It should be hereC:Program FilesMicrosoft GamesFS2002GAUGESB767XMLMake a copy of the LANDING XML document and place it on your desktop. Rename it to LANDING2 and place it back into the B767XML folder.3] We will need to modify the contents of this new LANDING2 XML file. Now open it. Notice that it's displayed in explorer. Now, rightclick anywhere on the page and choose "VIEW SOURCE". Now it's in a notepad format that we can modify. Delete the contents and copy and paste this (>K:PANEL_9) Close it and hit save changes.4] Now we need to make a copy of Lee's TCAS gauge. It's located in the main FS gauges folder and is named B767ILH.gau. Make a copy and place it on your desktop. Rename it to B767ILH2.gau and place it back into FS gauges folder. 5] Now go to your Wiclo Publishing aircraft panel folder and open up the PANEL CFG file. It should be located here C:Program FilesMicrosoft GamesFS2002aircraft767 PIC Wilco PublishingPanel Towards the top you will see this, and the highlighted part is what YOU need to ADD{Window Titles}Window00=Boeing 767 Upper PanelWindow01=Boeing 767 Main PanelWindow02=Boeing 767 Standby InstrumentsWindow03=Boeing 767 OverheadWindow04=Boeing 767 PedestalWindow05=Boeing 767 FMCWindow06=Boeing 767 Side auxillary PanelWindow07=boeing 767 Landing PanelWindow08=Pop-Up TCASFixed Window30=L2_windowFixed Window31=R3_windowFixed Window32=R2_windowFixed Window33=R1_windowFixed Window34=L3_windowFixed Window35=L1_windowFixed Window36=rear_view Now go down further to this section. We need to ADD a new {window08} entry and one line in section 7. Copy and paste the line for section 7 then all that is highlighted {section 8} and place it between the two sections {section 7 and 30}, the same as you see here. //--------------------------------------------------------{Window07}file=767Landing1.bmp size_mm=1280,960window_size_ratio=1.000 position=6visible=0ident=0window_size= 1.000, 1.000window_pos= 0.000, 0.000gauge00=B767XML!Main, 625,384,158,101gauge01=B767Weadi, 505,622,382,295gauge02=B767Wairspeed, 160,703,289,267gauge03=B767Waltimeter, 1054,732,257,249gauge04=B767WAfds!RadarAltimeter, 968,750,51,156gauge05=B767WAfds!MasterSwitch, 843,402,61,53gauge06=B767WAfds!Autoland, 1076,607,206,102gauge07=B767WAfds!AltAlert, 1251,744,35,28gauge08=B767WAfds!Nav1, 931,380,338,148gauge09=767PIC!TaxiLight, 82,569,38,34gauge10=B767XML!Landing2, 0,759,54,49//--------------------------------------------------------{Window08}file=tcas.bmp size_mm=911window_size_ratio=1.000 position=6visible=0ident=40window_size= 0.170, 0.228window_pos= 0.000, 0.322gauge00=B767ILH2!IVSI/TCAS, 1,0,925,907,blueplane:no shade:yes vsirate:18 other:99//--------------------------------------------------------{Fixed Window30}file=B767W_L2window.bmp position=7visible=0ident=30render_3d_window=0nomenu=1window_size= 1.000, 1.000window_pos= 0.000, 0.000 There is no "tcas.bmp", we just needed a dummy file name for the new window section to display the TCAS gauge in case you were wondering.6] Make sure you put the correct BRACKETS around the window name i.e. { } because pasting from here will not put the correct BRACKETS. So look at your other notepad entries for the correct ones to use. Click close and SAVE.7] If all went well you should have your popup TCAS by pushing the MAP switch, look at the picture in my first post for the location. Another note, make sure you close it before you switchback to the main panel or you will have it showing there to. If you forgot to close it, just rightclick on the gauge and hit close OR hit SHIFT 9.Best Wishes,Randy J.
