March 17, 200323 yr I have recently bought a new PC & have loaded PIC onto it & all updates etc). However, whenever I try to set an external view, FS2K2 can't find the aircraft textures.I seemed to remeber this being an issue in a previous post some time ago - bit I couldn't find it in a search of this forum. Can anybody suggest what the problem is & how to correct it?The PC configuration is: 2.4GHz P4, 512MB RAM, GeForce 4200Ti 128MB.CheersPeter:(

"RE: need help installing PIC 767!!!"In response to message #0 Steps to installing PIC767 in FS2k2:1.) Insert CD into CD Drive2.) When propted to browse to your FS2000 directory, browse to your FS2002 directory (typically something like C:/Program Files/Microsoft Games/FS2002) this directory will vary from system to system.3.) When promted to install the FS2000 patch, click NO4.) Download the FS2002 patch Link: ftp://ftp.wilcopub.com/767PilotinCommandPatchFS2002.exe Install the patch.5.)Start FS2002 and select your PIC767 and enjoy!6.) *Optional* Download the PIC/POSKY merge availible here in the forum. This program merges the PIC767 panel, sounds, and FDE with the POSKY 767v3 GMAX model. (Make sure you load the PIC767 in FS2002 at least once before doing this.)If you have any further questions/troubles, come back to this post and let us know. "RE: need help installing PIC 767!!!"In response to message #1 thanks Ryan, runs like a charm now and oh man- what a simulator- i just about die when i saw the panel. Took it for a quick trip just dto see how it handles- beautiful is all i can say. If this is even close to how the real 767 fly it must be a treat to fly these things- even landing it went pretty well- managed not to fly it into the water!! i was surprised though how long it took to take of. i used up almost the entire runway (8R at vancouver int'l) to take off which surprised me because i thought that these things took off like a bat out of hell and could climb at an incredible rate- what gives??as far as your comment about merging the POSKY with this panel why is that? is the POSKY a better looking aircraft, etc, etc????i can see frommthe manuals that this sim is going to keep me uploooong nights learning everything. hopefully Wilco or someone else will do the Concorde to thios degree of accuracy in the future!! "RE: need help installing PIC 767!!!"In response to message #2 Yes, the POSKY models are quite a bit better than the default Wilco ones. Wilco decided to make the default models as bgl files (a.k.a scenery files) and this is a killer on frame rates. The POSKY models are made in GMAX and are really great on frame rates (they also looks fantastic.)
