Bolivian Fly-In

Featured Replies

Hello:Just wanted to place a note to thank all of those that came to celebrate with us the second anniversary of LABVirtual's creation. It was fun!We had 41 aircraft, many of them making multiple flights within the country and which kept us busy from 00Z to 05Z.Daniel Tangerman (DHL735) ported some very nice shots:http://www.dantan.de/fs2002/shots/index.ph...v=bilder&gal=18We'll see you soon again, here or there..Roberto

Great team of controllers! For a beginner like me, you all were really helpful. Very enjoyable, very friendly, very fun.I was even stuned when SLLP tower (Esteban?) answered to me in a perfect French! I was impressed and thankful.Bravo!MichelKSEAAFR011

Roberto, you personally did a great job. As for some, and I repeat, some, of the ATC I encountered, I would have to say different. Not being allowed to fly a published SID, not understanding a basic flight plan, not released for pattern arrival with the airport plainly in sight.. oh well, you get what you pay for. I don't want to hamper or be picky, but we also don't want to give a poor reflection of the ATC service as well. Overall, I would say it was a lot of fun with huge amounts of traffic, even with them coming at the opposit direction at the same Flight level. woot woot woot, TCAS ALERT!! Twice for this pilot, who flew the pic like a cessna to avoid a mid air! Again, well done Roberto!

Thanks for hosting the fly-in Roberto and congradulations on your second anniversary. There sure was a big turnout with SLLP and SLVR both being very busy. Ian (ACA303) and I headed for Tel-Aviv just as you were calling it a night. I just landed here at LLBG a few minutes ago after the 14 hour flight. Take care Roberto, will be back down to see all the LAB guys again soon.

Mike were you offline? or did I just missed you?I tried to be there for Ian who was online, but I'm afraid he fell asleep on his yoke.He might be still orbiting earth now ;-)Remember there is no teleport in FS2K2, so you gotta depart from LLBG next time you fly heh heh hehC ya,

Ilan,Flew offline till the last 200 miles. Shmulik Lin brought me in on approach, flightplan closed about 2045Z.Will be jumping back here and departing for Frankfort sometime this weekend. The scenery beta and the points of interest downloads were very nice. Thanks Ilan.

Long story Ilan - in the end I just disconnected and was unable to complete a 14 hour flight :(Anyhow - to make it up, I'm just about to pop up at Athens for what I hope is a flight in and out of Tel-Aviv to test out your new scenery.See you soon (if I can only find those damned preferred routes)

Hate it when that happens :-(Anyway I'm off to our first official staff meeting, but will try and arrange some ATC for you :-)Shalom,Ilan

Sounds good.Landed safely in Tel Aviv and was wondering where you guys all were. The scenery by the way is excellent - so hats off to who ever made it.Ian.
