IFDG/PIC?

Featured Replies

Hi guys, please, is someone willing to share his modified .cfg with me? It seems that I'm too dumb to change needed data in a correct way *g*.eMail: [email protected] you,

I just pointed the panel and sound aliases to the PIC folder, which seems to work OK apart from:nose wheel stuck a couple of inches into the tarmacon landing, main gear truck didn't tilt smoothly and got juddering till below 80ktslanding lights are way too bright and end with sharp edge of light on the tarmac, doesn't look very good at all.How do you get the cargo doors open?DC

I've just merged the two the other way putting the texture and model into the PIC folder then amending the .cfg file as above and it works really well, just did a superb online flight from EGLL to LSZH....still have the following though, could anyone answer:Can't get nose leg lights to toggle.Main gear truck doesn't tilt properly on landing, juddering with the wing flex, maybe that designed.Nosewheel set a couple of inches in the tarmac.Taxi thrust - would the PIC/POSKY AIRED solution work for this combo?Landing lights are too bright and defined to taxi with on, need a smooth fade out like the nose leg lights. Also couldn't get the doors other than main to open despite Shift T and Shift F being set for Tailhook/Wing Fold. Thanks all.Dave

Hello Van! could u do me the favor in send me the merge of the IFDG 757 / PICthanxRafael NavarroYV

The lack of internal taxi lighting seen from within the flight deck and the landing lights being too bright are a problem with the model itself which Albert said he would look into. The rest of your problems come from using ifdg's contact point info and the fact that the exit, tailhook and wing fold commands are not in your aircraft cfg so you won't get those extra features working until they are added to the aircraft cfg. I had stated above that I listed all that you will need to get a good merge of the ifdg763/PIC on ifdg's website. Just head on over there and check it out.Regards,Van LatendresseYeoDesigns/AFG GroupPanel/FDE Designer

Van,I have merged the two almost exactly the same as yourself (so it appears). The only problem I have is that on final with full flaps and an approach speed of 140 knots the aircraft is way to nose high. The PIC/POSKY merge is correct but when I fly the IFDG/PIC merge the acft almost has a tail strike every time. Do you have the same probs?Scott

Can't say that I have that problem. I notice no difference at all between flying the Posky763 or ifdg763.Regards,Van LatendresseYeoDesigns/AFG GroupPanel/FDE Designer

One last question - which could be my downfall - you mention copying the .AIR file across from the WILCO/PIC to the IFDG folder - is it the 767 Pilot in Command Wilco Publishing.air file, what do you do with it and do you need to delete the IFDG one?Scott Thanks in advance VAN

You need to copy the aircraft cfg and the .air file from PIC and place it in your ifdg763 folder. I would rename your ifdg aircraft cfg to something differnt so it isn't overwritten as you will need to referrence it to get the values I have posted over on the ifdg forums. You don't need to rename or delete the ifdg .air file as the aircraft cfg will point to the PIC .air file. If you do everything correctly you will have pure PIC flight dynamics. I also completely changed the contact point info as I wasn't fussy on the ifdg numbers, all of my modifications can be obtained at the ifdg forums.I just completed another flight with the ifdg/PIC FDE and did a wonderful autoland with a perfect flare and nothing even close to a tail strike.Regards,Van LatendresseYeoDesigns/AFG GroupPanel/FDE Designer

I was beta testing the iFDG 763 and had tail strikes, stalls and all sorts of weird stuf happening. Now with the release, and the mods Van has posted on the Ifdg forum, I have to say that this mdl is quite nice. It is a bit bright in the lighting department, but it flys nice and stable. Just follow the directions and make sure you replace the contact points with the mods Van has listed. The PIC air file and config Mods work great with the iFDG 763!

heyyou probably had an old FDE, before release we spend six hours on fixing it, the gear seemed to be too sensitive so a lot landings ended in a crash even when it was perfect. Hope you like her now

Hi all:I tried to do the merge as above and from the IFDG forom page, but I don't have any flaps working or the RAM AIR TURB botton.any one can help Thanks in advance

I noticed you don't have the PIC electrical section in your cfg amongst other things. That is probably most of your problems. I would follow my directions to the letter on the ifdg forums and you will get a good merge. You will also want to use my contact point info.Regards,Van LatendresseYeoDesigns/AFG GroupPanel/FDE Designer

Sorry Guys , I just figurit out, Sorry againRegards:-)

Thanks Van, I realised it about the electrical section, and I will use your contact point, I will let you know if any other problems. Thanks again
