Not in Database - Annoyed

Featured Replies

Can anyone advise me on updating the waypoints or something in the FMC i can hardly fly anywhere east from the UK because the database is obviously incomplete. The US is adequately covered i think but anything towards the eastern areas is not covered at all. Is there anywhere or anyway to update this data. Thanks

Never knew there was a problem with the standard database east of the UK. I did a lot of flying in The Netherlands and Scandinavia and all went well. Are you sure you didn't mess up something during install or later? You could also download the latest available AIRAC cycle (0403) at http://www.navdata.at/ (register first, it's free). Not the most up to dat, but you can't go wrong with that one.Kind regards,Stephan Haas

If you fly regularly in the UK, I wouldn't use the airports.dat file that comes with cycle 0304, all the airports appear to be some 200-300 miles further east than they should be. Instead replace this file from any earlier cycle.

Hi Tom,it

Richard,Is it safe to assume that AIRAC 0308 due out next Thursday will see all of your FS Airac problems behind you and the new database released. Thanks

Hi Mark,it

Thanks for that Richard :-)

Richardthanks for the update.Looking forward to AIRAC 0308 & to FS AIRAC when it's released.I suppose having to only upload the database ammendments and having us download ammendments rather than the complete database each month will save a good deal on bandwidth.Cheers for the great service.
