European One Sky - 04th October

Featured Replies

Any PIC heads interested in taking part in this event. Most of the Hubs will be busy in Europe this day, but the aim is to fly across the Continent of Europe and visit airfields that you might not normally.I am proposing KEF-RHO as a suitable PIC flight.Keflavik to Rhodes approx 6 - 6.5 hour flight.Anyone got any other suggestions for routes - let's get something organised.

Mark,I have planned some flying as well. Had the choice of one long flight (typical PIC and aa lot of different ATC's) or two shorter flights (more busy with flying). I choose for the latter. The plan is: LSZA to LGAV (Athens) and LGAV to LGBB (Ben Goerion), but still open to changes.Kind regards,Stephan Haashttp://www.pic767flyingclub.com/images/sas544.jpg

LLBG that is, and I totally agree with you Stephan ;-)The longest and best flight available in onesky3 is (IMHO) BIKF-LLBG (Iceland to Israel). It will take you from the frozen Iceland to sunny Israel, crossing all of the busiest parts of Europe. And yes, I know I'm not being objective here.See you!IlanP.s. - I'm back with my new computer - will be able to join you guys now...

Un-fortunately, I will be at operation Casino Rama then off to operation Mr. and Mrs. She who must be obeyeds' weddin bash to swill vast quanties of gin martini's and watch the garter being removed.Have a great time in Europe lads. I wish I could be there, but no laptops are going to the Highwayman with Jenny and I. Rob, you know she would kill me for sure. :0)

Hi Stephan,The plan is: LSZA to LGAV (Athens)Are you sure about LSZA (Lugano) or did you mean LSZH (Zurich) instead? Lugano is way too small to depart with a B767 :-). BTW, the routing for LSZH-LGAV is available from the SAG Flightplan Center here: http://fpc.vacc-sag.org .Yours,Martin Georg/EDDFVACC-SAG PR & Events Coordinator *** mailto:[email protected]

Hello guys,if you like scenery, I would sugest to fly into/from LZTT. It is apt located close to Tatry Mountains. I plan to fly around Slovakia, and than to fly LZIB-EDDF-EGLL-KWER. I hope seeing you in the Europe.Cheers,Andrej Lippay

Martin (and Ilan),You are quit right. I seem to have mixed up my codes. So here is goes:LSZH - LGAVandLGAV LLBGThe OneSky page does not give confirmation for Swiss and Nicosia Firs. Will they be online?Kind regards,Stephan Haashttp://www.pic767flyingclub.com/images/sas544.jpg

The great guys of Eurocenter vACC (http://www.euc-vacc.org) will probably cover the areas without local controllers. I am also authorized to man Nicosia if needed, though I'll probably fly this time 9new computer heh heh).In short - Nicosia will be covered somehow for sure. as for the Swiss area: I don't know it personally but knowing vACC SAG, no way they are going to leave it out...
