December 25, 200322 yr (Off topic, sorry PIC guys, but...)"That actually sounds very handy!"The QF update files may need updating ;-) It's a long time since I worked on them. Also, there will never be -ER update files. It's just too different from the standard -400 to make the sim realistic. I still haven't figured out that nutty Aux fuel system.... I don't think Boeing have either :-P"And you know all the voice callouts by the PNF were done by a certain computer-keen 767 captain."Being the small world that it is... I bumped into him a few months ago (after many years of flying PS1). Nice guy! :-)And speaking of PS1 audio files... I prefer the original PS1.0 "Pushback Engineer" files.... The new ones (PS1.3) sound really dumb :-P (and I hear that he's never actually pushed back a real aircraft!)Anyway, let me know if you need any flying tips on the 744 (grin).Cheers.Ian.P.S. (Edit) Now using a new "ID" (The "company" is breathing heavily down my neck re my unauthorized involvement in public forums). :-roll
January 12, 200422 yr Hi HPSOV,>I do miss the 767, the 744 really is a step forward in automation.I just converted from the CRJ to the 767. It's incredible how nice the 767 handles, cockpit layout, everything :-))Out of ~20 different planes the CRJ (together with the SF25 motorglider)was the worst airplane I ever flew.RegardsBernt Stolle Capt 767
January 12, 200422 yr IzI had the choice for either the 737NG or the 767-300ER.I talked to our pilots, read through the manuals and after that, the choice wasen't too difficult ;-)But at least the 737 HAS autoland. On the CRJ we flew 4 legs a day and after 3 legs in .... weather you could handfly a CATIIIa!!!RegardsBernt Stolle Capt 767
