January 29, 200422 yr Hi all, I am encountering problems engaging the thrust reversers using the F2 key. This has just started to happpen, now I know things don't just happen, but I can't think of anything I have done to make this problem occur. This problem is not only when I am using PIC, I have tried the stock 737 and the same problem exists. What is weird is that after I hold the F2 key down the "REV" light above the EPR gauge comes on for a brief second. I have tried changing the keys to engage the thrust reversers, F3, F4 etc. But this has had no effect. Auto Throttle has been shut off. Thanks for any help you can provide. Mike Ethier CVA2525
January 29, 200422 yr Mike,Most probably your joystick's throttle (or a separate throttle) is calibrated in such a way that there is no dead zone in the bottom of the movement range. Potentiometers tend to drift, and cause noise as well. Now, if it has drifted a bit to below the calibrated range, it causes small spikes of "throttle signal" to be sent to FS even though you have it at IDLE, and everything seems nice.I suggest you do this:1. Calibrate your yoke/joystick/throttle console in Windows own Game Controllers calibration window2. In FS, calibrate the desired throttle range with FSUIPC, leaving just a tiny zone in the bottom of the range unused. It doesn't have to be much!Tell us how it went then.rgdsTero PPL(A)
January 30, 200422 yr Hi Tero,Thanks for reply. I re-calibrated my yoke and this looked like it was going to fix the problem. But now what happens is when I hit the F2 key the "REV" light comes on yellow and then turns to green, but still does not engage the reversers. I tried to adjust the throttle range within FSUIPC, but I'm not really sure as what to do. If you could give me any help here that would be great. Thanks again Tero.Mike CVA2525
