April 30, 200422 yr Seems to me that the FMC is confused because the ending POINT of the departure *MIQ6Q* is MIQ and the starting POINT of Y103 is GIMAL. I think it is fundemental to enter the starting POINT for an airway when it is not matching the END POINT of the departure. The starting POINT for Y103 is GIMAL, if you place this into the TO line then you can enter Y103 correctly in the VIA line but see below. BUT your choice in wpts is flawed. Review the END of the Y103 wpt which happens to be the END POINT of the MIQ6Q departure, namely MIQ! So of course it should not allow this but really should have displayed "invalid entry" in the S/P... Thus you should have VIA --------------- TOMIQ6Q ----------- MIQVIA -------------- TO --------------- ANKERVIA -------------- TOY104 ----------- Put your end point HERE [h4]Best Wishes,Randy J. April 30, 200422 yr Thanks for your reply Randy! But when I look in my Jeppesen Charts of November 2003 MIQ is the starting point of Y103 and it goes one way north to SULUS. So is the Airac wrong? Should MIQ then be '001' in Airac? Also, GIMAL is not on Y103 at all (at least on Jep-Chart)...BTW looking at the coordinates for points 001 and 002 of Y103 in Airac, these waypoint must be far far away...Arnd
April 30, 200422 yr Randy, MIQ is on Y103. GIMAL is at the opposite end according to the AIRAC data posted.Lee Hetherington, PP-ASEL (KBED)

What you have done should work. The FMC should accept the airway being entered if the last entered FIX exists anywhere on that airway. Give this a try: Since MIQ also appears on Y102, see if the FMC accepts entering Y102 as the airway. -michael
April 30, 200422 yr Arnd:I tried it and got the same error as you. The only solution I was able to come up with was the following:MIQ5Q MIQDIRECT DOSISY103 SULUSThis worked and you only have to enter one additional FIX.-michael
May 1, 200422 yr Hi Micheal,I tried Y102 and it worked! (BTW: there is no Y102 on my Jeppesen Chart...)Then I tried the following: I deleted Y102 (DEL button and 2L) and then entered Y103 with SULUS as the last point of it - and suddenly it was accepted!!! But when I do it again with a 'fresh' and empty FMC I get the same problem with Y103 as in my first post. This is not the only airway I have problem with - some work, some don
May 1, 200422 yr Hi Michael,at least now i know that it is a general problem of the FMC and not one of my system... who can help with the PIC FMC? When I understand it correct, Wilco stopped support for the 767!?-arnd

When I understand it correct,>Wilco stopped support for the 767!?>>-arndYou are correct. There is no support for PIC V1 and we have to work with what we have. Hopefully the folks developing PIC V2 are able to address some of the known issues with V1 while they work on development of V2.-michael
May 7, 200422 yr Hi Arnd, only a short word about GIMAL-VFA. Some airways have more than one different leg in the world. So it
