June 14, 200421 yr Hi EveryoneHaving used PIC for a long time, I still cannot seemt o be able to locate the toga switch. Have my vref speeds in the FMC, have autothrottle on I hit the TOGA button next to the clm, 1,2,com,crzwith nothing happening, so usually F4 the throttle and kick the auto on take off.Any hintsThanksTony
June 14, 200421 yr Tony,767 does not have a TOGA switch. Arm the Autothrottle. Spool the engines up to 70% N1.Hit the N1 Button on the MCP. the N1 autothrottle mode is what is used for Take off on the 757/767. Below the Lower Eicas Display on the RHS there is a small switch to engage Go-Around Mode.HTH
June 14, 200421 yr Tony,Just to clarify a bit more. There is a TOGA switch on the thrust mode selection panel, but it's a switch that merely sets the upper limit for the engines when using N1 mode. In takeoff it will command takeoff thrust maximum limit, and in go-around it will be the max ga thrust. Of course, when all is working normally, the TO and GA thrust limits will be set automatically, but should something go wrong, you can always select the limit manually from TMSP (or TRP).The autothrottle selection to drive the TMSP selected mode is N1, (or EPR or THR in 757s), and that is used just like Mark described.rgdsTero PPL(A)
