Hi,First of all, thanks a million for releasing the (beta) manual for the product, we can't wait to use it :)I have discovered an error at the base of page 21:If the system is only capable of landing using the LAND2 mode (ie. One autopilot inoperative), a NO LAND 2 message is displayed on the ASA. If the system is not capable of performing an Autoland, a NO AUTOLND message is displayed on the ASA.I believe this should read "a NO LAND 3 message is displayed".Happy to help u guys make this product the greatest.

Here is anthoer mix-up (not an error) in Page 138 -139 of the Manual.The Item 4 "4. Mode Annunciators" should read "4. IRS Keypad""5. IRS Annunciators"."6. IRS M.S. Knobs"Otherwise what is pointed out in the pic does not resemble the text.A quaetion in the meantime :)Can we also fly this bird with IRS navigaiton in case of FMC failure? and is IRS fully working?I am anxiously waiting for the release.CheersMusashi

Ian,I think he means the picture is labelled incorrectly, if you have a look at pgs 138-139 the keypad, mode sel knobs and annunciators are mixed up. Not a huge error but that's what Musashi is referring to.Looking forward to it!!!

You guy's are too far into the manual...I found the first error on Page 14:External Air source connection - Requests that the ground crew connect or disconnect the interphone. The text changes to indicate the status of the external air.I guess you guy released it early so you could have 3000 proof readers, with credit card's at the ready, for free:-bigangel Steve ParkKSDF

I sure hope the beta testers did a better job with the actual plane!! (Yes I made that comment because I'm jealous that I'm not a beta tester:P ).I've gotta say though, having looked through the manual I'm genuinely excited about this release, it can't come soon enough it looks quite revolutionary. Good job guys.

The IRS has been fuly functional since the days of FS2000

"What's "alternate nav" and "standby nav"?"Different names for the same thing....On later aircraft, if both FMC's fail (i.e. Flight Management Computers in the Equipment Center), the cockpit CDU's can be used as very basic FMC's. However, you cannot use the Autopilot in LNAV/VNAV modes during this time. The old route is saved in the CDU, but you cannot modify it with anything other than waypoints in lat/long format. There are only two FMC pages displayed (LEGS and PROGRESS)Hope this helps.Cheer.Ian.

Hi Ahmed,No, I think the picture is labeled correctly as the numbering on the picture is logically correct.What I emant that the paragraphs explaining the picture should be rearranged to match the numbering in the picture.CheersMusashi
