I noticed this Aircraft Visual Model feature on Level-D's website, "High quality livery textures in a choice of 32bits or DXT3 formats."Could someone explain the advantages and disadvantages of both. Thanks in advance.MikeP.S. Another 'goofy' question. The word ' Livery ' ...it's correct pronounciation would be Live - ery Correct?

DXT3 textures are simply smaller in size than 32bit textures. Thus they load faster, and won't let you see the grey model of the AC while they are being loaded.DXT3 are less detailed to be smaller. Most poeple say they don't notice the difference between them. I'm one of them :-).

DXT3 lack in quality. They use less colour in compression and hence gradients will not appear to be as smooth as they should be.But they are much smaller in file size compared to the uncompressed format and hence increase performance.
