Proposed LDS767 flyout from Everett

Featured Replies

Hi all,I recently proposed the idea of a 'Fly-out' from Everett field once the LDS767 is released, it seems to have found some favour with people so lets start planning!ANYONE who wishes to be part of organising feel free to raise your hand, I've not been involved in one of these before! ------------------DATE: Obviously we have no idea when release is going to be, albeit a general idea of it being pretty close. Bearing this in mind we will need to look at getting planned nice and early, the airplane could be out tomorrow after all. :) The best compromise is to schedule it in for the weekend following release. If we put it on a Saturday evening GMT that allows most people a convenient time to fly (during Saturday for the US, over the evening period for Europe and Sunday morning / afternoon for us antipodean sorts!) Obviously this will inconvenience some people but it's a case of triyng to please most of the crowd.NUMBERS: Anyone who has flown into Everett in FS will know it's a bit lacking in parking stands, though there's plenty of space. I'll do up an AFCAD file but obviously the first thing we need to know is numbers. I'll start a seaparate thread to register interest and receive a random stand assignment closer to the big day.CONTROL: VATSIM will be our guys here I presume. We'll need to liaise with them to provide good clearance, ground, tower and departure coverage for the time it takes us to clear out. They may wish to NOTAM it out to their other pilots as well.OTHER ACTIVITIES: Let's have some ideas people! A nav exercise over Canada? Formation 767 team?! Let's fill in the time between the release and the fly out with some other activities.WHAT ELSE?: Like I said before I've not arranged one of these so advise from those who have done so is welcome.Mark

And with a lot of luck SB3 will be out too!

OK guys,I am travelling for the next week and a bit, so the soonest I can get to KPAE is on the 27th Feb. If Level D is released by them I can start familiarisation on the 28th and be ready for a delivery flight from BFI on the 5th March. But it does all depend on level D release dates, but I am really looking forward to this. Can anyone suggest a couple of VOR's in the Seattle area that I can use for initial flights.Regards,Chris
