May 9, 200323 yr That I can bring up S/B and connect directly from within FS without having to jump back to desktop? If so how?Any help will be greatly appreciated. On a side note (and not just a littl OT, lol), does anyone here know where I can get or has themselves the last patches and sectors for the old PC Aviator ATC Simulator? I had them but lost everything when my HD shot craps.Once again, any help will be appreciated. Thanks in advance,Jammer164.
May 9, 200323 yr There's a utility that can be downloaded from the Avsim file library called HostSB (http://library.avsim.net/search.php?SearchTerm=hostsb&CatID=Root). This will allow you to run Squawkbox without switching back and forth.Sorry, I don't have an answer for you on the other question.
May 9, 200323 yr Hey I'm bat'en .500 on my first post, can't complain about that;)Thank you very much sir, I'll d/l and play around with it now.Jammer164.
May 9, 200323 yr O.k. Chris, I d/l'ed and installed. However I'm not quite sure to bring up s/b, connect and run it from within FS. Under the 'modules' header at the top of the screen I have the 'HostSB' header. I select that and it shows 'Run'. Selecting that does nothing (that I can see or am aware of anyway).I followed the 'readme' instructions in the zip and installed the file/files into the 'MODULES' folder of FS. The instructions are a little vauge, is there something eles or did I miss something?Sorry for seeming so dense, it's just because I am.lolThanks,Jammer164.
May 9, 200323 yr HiAfter starting HostSB from the Modules menu. Start Squawkbox.exe the normal way. You should now get SB up and running after the initial splash and selection screens.Hope it helps Mats JohanssonPMDG Flight Test Dept | Asus Z270-A | Intel i5-7600K @ 4.8 GHz OC/H2O | nVidia Geforce GTX 1070 8GB OC/O2|
May 10, 200323 yr Just a couple of things to be sure to do. Before running the module, switch FS to the non-full screen mode. After you have SB connected, you can switch FS back to full screen. Also, make sure, if you are starting SB using a shortcut, that you use the one that points directly to squawkbox.exe. There's a different shortcut called "SquawkBox Host for FS2002", and that one will not work for this purpose. That should do it for you.Regards,Chris
