Just a little thread on what would you like to see implimented on Vatsim in the future if you had anything to say about it. Just a bit of dreaming, but be a little bit realistic. None of this "Matrix style neck plug in so you actually plug in to the Vatsim matrix and then walk out the door into your car and drive to the airport before meeting with dispatch bla bla bla." Im talking of what you would like to see in Vatsim...One thing I'd like to see is reintroduction of the Auto Atis system. you tune into the frequency for Atis, and either by a voice emulator or some such (like how vMetar works) it reads the ATIS which is given in the proper formatt as full non-encoded words to you, not necicarily starting from the beginning of the Atis, and repeating untill you turn off the frequency.ie.I'm flying into Sydney Australia YSSYI tune my frequency to 126.25 and the little electronic voice starts....for arrivals and departures, Wind 010 at 12, CAVOK, Temperature 20 Celcius, QNH 1019 On first contact with Sydney Approach or Ground notify receiept of Delta.... Sydney Information Delta, Runway 34L and R for arrivals and departures, Wind 010 at 12, CAVOK, Temperature 20 Celcius, QNH 1019 On first contact with Sydney Approach or Ground notify receiept of Delta.... Sydney Information Delta, Runway 34L and R for arrivals and departures, Wind 010 at 12, CAVOK, Temperature 20 Celcius, QNH 1019 On first contact with Sydney Approach or Ground notify receiept of Delta.... Sydney Informa....and then I change freqency again off to Ground or whatever.Another idea is usefull for VFR guys. (Which I fly on occasion in my areas of interest being Sydney Brisbane and Melbourne Australia)An Automatic CTAF/MBZ tuner, sort of like a "false controller" or "Automated controller" it is a station which you tune to on the frequency or by selecting it in the controller box (YSCA_CTAF for instance for Camden or YSBK_MBZ for bankstown) It then sends you to a voice room like recieving a controllers ATIS does right now. for this instance you might tune to 132.80 for YSBK_MBZ and you get the Atis message bing bong and it sends you off to rw1.vatpac.org/YSBK_MBZ and you are now on the MBZ text frequency and voice channel, Using RW switch or some such program you could just select the 132.80 in the radio panel of FS. This way everyone flying VFR out of Bankstown will be connected to the same voice room. There's 2 ideas I had.Any from you guys?
