June 16, 200421 yr This is probably a really dumb question but:How do I know when I'm about to enter a control center ie. Cleveland Center. How do I know when to call up the center and announce my position. Is there a way in flightsim to show the control center coverage or is there a map available that I could use to assist me. I just don't know the boundaries of these control zones and when I'm about to enter one. Thanks in advance for the reply.
June 16, 200421 yr Nope not a dumb question at all. If a centre controller is on-line he should call you first. But just in case here is a map of the US for you.http://www.vatusa.org/training/centerchart.htm
June 16, 200421 yr Hi!Consider getting servinfo (http://www.avsim.com/hangar/utils/servinfo/)It's a very valuable program. You can see all ATC & pilots online and all center boundaries as well as a wealth of other info. If you like, you can call center approx. 5 minutes before entering.Additionally it countains a gauge that visualizes all voice channels and enables their selection without leaving the cockpit (FS-window). --------------------------- Blue Skies, Gottfried www.blueskyscenery.com
