Squawkbox Issues.....Arrrrggghhhhhhh

Featured Replies

Ok....I flew my first VATSIM flight last night. That flight took me like an hour of trying to get SB to work. Everytime i try to connect, it gives me a error message and tells me it has to shut down. You know, the error report thingy in XP. I have been trying to do it again all day today, and have yet to get SB to work. Ive restarted my PC like a hundred times. Is this kinda problem the norm or what ? If it is, this VATSIM stuff is great, but not worth the effort to me. I found in another forum the fix for this problem. If you are using a shortcut to the SB program, make sure that you go to the program folder and send a shortcut to your desktop, then pin this shortcut to your start menu. Sounds like you could have just dragged the program icon itself to the place you are starting it from. Also, make sure that you have everything loaded in the proper sequence.i.e. start SB Relay start FS9 create multiplayer session create a flight click on fly now push the alt button to bring up the FS9 menu click on modules and run SB Host module then go to the desktop or start menu to start Squawkbox.Hope this helpsRick
