FS suddenly closes when VATSIM'ing

Featured Replies

Hi, I'm having a problem with my flight simulator - when flying online (well, trying to) it closes just like that with no apparent reason. I'm using SB 2.3.5, HostSB.dll and SBRelay. The whole situation looks like that:I start FS/SB, connect to Vatsim, taxi/take off/whatever, and after some time (totally random to me) FS disappears, SB disappears, what remains is working SBRelay and AVC. Sometimes FS leaves its process, sometimes does not. This happens ONLY when on VATSIM, so this imply to be a SB-FS issue. Offline I'm perfectly fine, no crashes etc.Soft: Xp Home Ed w/SP1, AVC 1.0, SB 2.3.0.5, SBRelay 1.2, FS v9.1, HostSB.dll Hardware: pIV 2.4GHz on an Abit IS7-G w/1GB Ramu, GF [email protected] Detonators, SB Live!.

Bumpity bump!

Check your Direct X version you need to be on 9.0b or higher 9.0a is no good, and FS installs 9.0a for you and will overwright 9.0b with out asking. What firewall/anti-virus are you running?

A firewall from my router, all ports needed are open.TCP 6703,6809,47624UDP 1900,2300-2400,3290,3782,6073,6703,6809,23456My antivirus is NOD32.

Have you tried the VTSIM forum for some help.

Life is a short dash between two dates on a Tombstone

I think to have solved it. There are two solutions:1) change the AntiVirus.2) Go to the Resident modules and filters > AMON > SETUP EXCLUSION tab, add FS9.exe, squawkbox and SBRelay directory. The 2nd solution did not however work for me.
