November 29, 200421 yr I've been trying to get on to Vatsim for the past week and everytime I get to SB and get to the connect part and hit okay I get. Error: Invalid Callsign or Password.I know that this is not correct as I have signed up and entered the correct password. I have tried to make a second account just to make sure that the original is not busted or void or whatever but am still getting the same error. Help! :[email protected]: Via Chicago 1^ Would appreciate instant reply :-)
November 29, 200421 yr what Aircraft Callsign are you trying to log in as? Make sure you send in a Flightplan and callsign first, Try and make the Callsign reflect what your flying...Ie: AAL330 for an American Airlines planeDAL410 for a Delta Airlines plane etcor N372DK for a private planeG-BUJN for a British private planeBA293 for a British Airlines planeand so on...remember Invalid Callsign on Password is not just a wrong password ;) Trent Hopkinson, 2015 Crewmember of www.mangrove.com.au WorldFlight sim Youtube channel www.youtube.com/user/musicalaviator
November 29, 200421 yr yes, I was flying with the callsign UAL2026... and and I had submitted my flightplan before hand... I'm positive my PW/ID was correct.Help?
November 29, 200421 yr JUst check you have filled in all the details(Callsign, VATSIM ID and PW ) exactly the same in AVC as you have in SB- this is often the cause of Invalid callsign messages.Dave
November 30, 200421 yr Have you updated the server list that came with the original installation of SB? This list is outdated and needs to be updated; either manually or using the "Export server IPs to ipaddr.txt file" function. For the latter you then copy the ipaddr.txt file to your main SB directory. Make sense at all??Jason Harris
December 1, 200421 yr Jason is right, 95% of the time that will fix it.the program to export the ipaddr.txt file is Servinfo, just click the IP button under the Vatsim logo once you have loaded current data.
December 1, 200421 yr Dave,Doh! Thanks for pointing out that one must use ServInfo to export the IP addresses. Hope I didn't confuse everyone too much :-)Jason Harris
December 7, 200421 yr Ingo, sorry this post has gotten a little long. What is your problem? The invaild password one? Have you updated your server list?
December 27, 200421 yr I HAD THE SAME PROBLEM. EVERYTHING WAS LOADED AND UPDATED. SB RAN PROPERLY. I CONTINUALLY GOT THE SAME ERROR MESSAGE. I CHANGED MY CALLSIGN TO MORE CLOSELY MATCH MY AIRCRAFT I.D. USE YOUR STANDARD VATSIM ID, AND THE APPROVED PASSWORD THAT VS SENT WITH YOUR I.D. WHEN YOU OPEN YOUR MP SESSION,MAKE SURE YOUR CALL SIGN MATCHES THE TAIL NUMBER ON YOUR CRAFT, AND/OR THE VS LIBRARY DESCRIPTION. WHEN I DID THIS, IT LOADED RIGHT AWAY.I DID CHANGE AIRCRAFT, BUT IT WAS NOT NECESSARRY TO CHANGE MY CALLSIGN AGAIN ONCE I WAS LOGGED ONTO THE SERVER. EVERYTHING WOEKED FINE. GOOD LUCK!
