Using either two sound cards or a USB headset for VATSIM

Featured Replies

Hello everyone! This question has been bothering me for some time, and I thought here would be a good place to ask it. Does anyone have any experience running Squwakbox or FSINN with two sound cards/USB headset so that the speakers carry the system and FS2004 sounds, and the ATC communications go through the second sound card/USB headset? Could you elaborate on how it is done?I'm more interested in the FSINN and two sound cards combination, but any help would be absoulutely wonderful!

Simply set AVC to use the second sound card in its options.

I use a USB headset with SB3. It's easy to do, and I get great sound quality. No need for messy hardware installs etc, just plug it in, and a quick softwear install.

Ditto for the USB headset, I use a Logitech Premium USB Headset 300, it's truly Plug&Play. You plug it into one USB port, Windows install it automatically and you now have another sound card, named USB Headset :).In SB3, you can select which card to use, so you just have to specify the USB one for it, or as I did, use the USB set for comms and the speakers to play SB3 sounds, so I know if someone try to contact me on text while I'm away.______________________Etienne Bouchard/CYUYRFP_FO.jpg
