February 12, 200620 yr I tried logging in to VATSIM tonight and discovered to my dismay that it would not authenticate, hmm strange.. so I carried out a search of my email archives to check the password I was using was correct and in doing so found an email telling me I was permenantly suspended due to accidental double registration! It appears I have been confused with another person with the same name! The email mentions that I should use the other ID to authenticate however advised me to follow the lost procedure, which in turn tells me my password has been sent to another address which is not mine.Unfortunately the VATSIM support forum does not allow me to log on either therefore I have no means of getting support other than from this forum. Please can anyone help?Regards,Chris Norris
February 14, 200620 yr Hi Chris.I read your post and as you have not had an answer from any team member in two days I thought I would have a nose around the vatsim site and try and help, as I do not think too many Vatsim staff visit here. This is what I did:1. go to www.vatsim.net2. on the left hand panel put your mouse over Member Services3. This gives a drop down menu where Contact Vatsim is a choice4. Click on it and there are loads of people you could e-mail, I would suggest clicking Vatsim Membership and Registration, as this bit does not need any log in and there is a massive area for your words, altough there is a box for vatsim id, hopefully it will still let you send without, but even so if this don't work5. if still no joy click board of governers and click VP membership Ed Hemsley and it opens up your e-mail program and send there.Hope you didn't mind me doing this, feel like i am poking my nose into your affairs, but I am sure you will get a resultregardsJohn CallejaBAW 352 John Calleja
February 19, 200620 yr Hi Chris. I've just seen your post - checking the files it looks as if you've managed to get it sorted. Let me know if you are still having problemsJohn is right - clicking VATSIM Membership and registration is the best option when trying to contact membership as it is always routed to whichever representative of the department is "on duty" and can give a prompt response.Ruth McTigheVATGOV7VP Communicationsruth (at) vatsim.net
