Featured Replies

Hi there,Anybody know of a good scenery file for Toronto Pearson Int'l Airport??Thanks!Rudi.:-spacecraft

Hi RudiUnfortunately I don't think there is anything yet. I have seen soom screenshots of CYYZ using Lago's FS Enhanser. Several of the available user edits look good and add some improvement to the default.SteveCYYZ

Simflyers is eventually going to create CYYZ. They had a major setback on the project awhile back with some computer crashes, so don't expect to see it anytime soon.Ryan-Flightpro08 :-coolVATSIM Pilot/ControllerZLA ARTCC Controller 1 (C-1)SAN TRACON Lead [link:www.taxiwaysigns.com]Taxiwaysigns.com Scenery Designer-----------------------------My "Home Made" System Specs:Intel Pentium 4 2.2GHz ProcessorTurbo Gamer ATX Mid-Tower with 420W Power SupplyEPoX 4G4A Motherboard with Intel 845G ChipsetVisiontek XTASY GeForce4 128MB Ti4600 (Det 30.30 Drivers)512MB PC2100 DDR RAM40GB Matrox 7200RPM Hard DriveWindows XP Home Edition*No CPU or GPU Overclocking*3dMark2001SE Score: 10346

[http://www.avsim.com/dcforum/User_files/3cc5d15671f44040.jpg] These guys have been saying they're going to do one since FS98 was a year old. Dunno if they still have any plans in the works, but their site is still up and running.Have a look and see..http://pearson2001.8m.com/I think there are also issues with developers covering Toronto in that the airports current state is quite a mess. How should they model the airport? In it's current version or the one we'll have in the next few years? It really has changed alot in the past few years with the addition of 15R/33L and the new 24L/06R being built next to what used to be 24L/06R. Get the idea? Anyways, I hope someone does one soon. And I really don't care if it's the old, the new, or the in between. I just need somewhere to call home :) CF-AOA

Opps Sorry typo..

Ok here goes. That scenery mentioned above is great, the best there is in my opinion. There is also another one that was designed for FS98 available at Flightsim.com. It has a few other Ontario airports in the package too. Simflyers say theirs will be released before 2003, but I don't even think they've restarted it yet. And the big one, Flight Team Ontario will be doing the entire Toronto area when we're finished with Thunder Bay. I think it'll be all the airports, landmarks, and even ground scenery! It should be fun.

That's great that you guys are going to do the Toronto area. But in the mean time, anybody know of an AFCAD file fo the pearson 2001 one?ThanksRichard CYHZ

Not off hand, I don't think too many people know about that scenery. It wouldn't be hard for someone to produce one though, considering they only have 2 of the 3 terminal buildings.
