7 Segment digit display, Where can I find em?

Featured Replies

Guys, I am looking for Orange/Amber or Yelloish color 7 segment digit displays for MCP. I tried Mouser, they didnt have any. I tried All Electronics, They only have red color. I tried DigiKey, but I am putting it in alternative, because the size .3 amber/orange or yellow display cost $1.849 something each, and I request for 40 single displays which cost me $75 dollars total. I didn't want to be stupid enough to pay for it, until I could find cheap one. I do know any few electronics vendors sells displays for .50 each, do you or has anyone know any of it? If so, post me the website, or phone nbrs

Arthur,Take a look at Jameco Electronics www.jameco.com . I have their paper catalog in front of me now and it lists a common anode 0.3 inch yellow 7 segment display for US$0.75 in quantities >10.Mikewww.mikesflightdeck.com

Thanks Mike, Jameco has a resonable price for yellow displays Indeed that!

I just went and had a look at the mouser website.Fairchild semiconductor MAN3610A .3 Orange >10 $0.793 404 in stockThe good thing about these ones is that you can use the 7 segment adapter card from CSI.CheersGaz

PeterK Hewlett Packard makes a hex display that all you do is apply+5 volts and the hex input the decoding is in the displaythe Display itself runs on 5volts but if you run a square waveinstead the current draw drops...I dont have the Hewlett Packard 1820-#### number but if you needit Ill open a piece of equipment at work and get the numberEach display sits in a standard 16 pin socket..they may be a little expensive but all the other chips to make the7 segment display arent needed...As for (ARE they Real) we had the same diplays on the Lockheed P3Orion too..way back when..pete

Gaz, Thank you for the stock number...you saved my golden eggs.Pete, It woud be nice to have hex displays... But Boeing 767 doesn't have any on their panels. Maybe I would get those when I am ready to build up fighter plane (F/A 18 maybe) Thanks anyway
