8 inch color monitors

Featured Replies

Hello All, Where can you purchase those little 8 inch wide color monitors for the cockpit displays.Regards,b744type

HiI dont know about colour, but I've been using a little portable B&W TV with a 6" diag screen for an FMC display - works very well (bit fuzzy but very useable). And cheap too - about $39.00 if I recall correctly. I just took it to bits and bolted it under the panel. I'm sure you could do the same with a portable colour TV.Dave

Hi Dave!Do you connect that with a TV-out compatible videocard or how do you do it? What resolution can you expect?Best regards

MattYep - TV out. Its a US TV, so I get about 520 lines of resolution. Its not as crisp as on a monitor, but perfectly readable. And the price is right!!Dave

DaveYou wouldn't happen to have any pics of it? If it looks good this is a perfect solution I think. 8" monitors are toooo expensive still ;-)Mats

Can you use 10 inch (diagonal) unit? That should be roughly 6 inches by 8 inches.Jameco (www.jameco.com ) sells a refurbished 10 inch SVGA color monitor for $59.95. The part number is 210850.Mikewww.mikesflightdeck.com
