October 24, 200223 yr Hello All, Where can you purchase those little 8 inch wide color monitors for the cockpit displays.Regards,b744type
October 25, 200223 yr HiI dont know about colour, but I've been using a little portable B&W TV with a 6" diag screen for an FMC display - works very well (bit fuzzy but very useable). And cheap too - about $39.00 if I recall correctly. I just took it to bits and bolted it under the panel. I'm sure you could do the same with a portable colour TV.Dave
October 25, 200223 yr Hi Dave!Do you connect that with a TV-out compatible videocard or how do you do it? What resolution can you expect?Best regards Mats JohanssonPMDG Flight Test Dept | Asus Z270-A | Intel i5-7600K @ 4.8 GHz OC/H2O | nVidia Geforce GTX 1070 8GB OC/O2|
October 25, 200223 yr MattYep - TV out. Its a US TV, so I get about 520 lines of resolution. Its not as crisp as on a monitor, but perfectly readable. And the price is right!!Dave
October 25, 200223 yr DaveYou wouldn't happen to have any pics of it? If it looks good this is a perfect solution I think. 8" monitors are toooo expensive still ;-)Mats Mats JohanssonPMDG Flight Test Dept | Asus Z270-A | Intel i5-7600K @ 4.8 GHz OC/H2O | nVidia Geforce GTX 1070 8GB OC/O2|
October 26, 200223 yr MatsNo piccies I'm afraid (no digital camera :( ) but here's a ref to the TV I'm using. The one I have is a bit different - its older, but pretty close.http://www.bestbuy.com/Detail.asp?m=1&cat=...cat=&e=11078187Dave
October 26, 200223 yr Can you use 10 inch (diagonal) unit? That should be roughly 6 inches by 8 inches.Jameco (www.jameco.com ) sells a refurbished 10 inch SVGA color monitor for $59.95. The part number is 210850.Mikewww.mikesflightdeck.com
