Add runway lights?

Featured Replies

Hello,I just flew a night patrol from Dutch harbor to Adak and when I broke out on the adak approach I found no runway lights to be seen. Had plenty of taxiway light but landing on the taxiway is abit difficult in the C-130. :0) Anyone have any suggestions on how to add the lights or will I just have to tape a whole wing row of flashlights to the plane :0)Fly safeDave

Which runway? From www.airnav.com it looks like Runway 5/23 has full lighting, but Runway 18/36 may not. Also lights are available from 800-1700, but I don't think that's modeled in FS.Adding lights to a runway usually involves recreating the entire airport using a scenery program like Airport, although there may be a way to add a runway over the top of the current one with a program like Runway (by Chuck Dome).Hope this helps,-- Tom GibsonCalifornia Classic Propliners: http://www.calclassic.com/Cal Classic Alco Page: http://www.calclassic.com/alco/Freeflight Design Shop: http://www.freeflightdesign.com/ San Diego Model RR Museum: http://www.sdmodelrailroadm.com/Drop by! ___x_x_(")_x_x___

Thanks for the reply Tom,The runway in question is 5/23 and having been there several times in the C-130 in the RW,I would have thought Microsoft would have included them but maybe it is just my machine. I will check to make sure I don't have any addon scenery impeding the lighting abilityThanks againDave
