Guys, Im trying to build some Helo controls. To that end I need some bronze bushings to make everything smooth. Anyone know where I can get bushes to suit M6 bolts here in the UK ? I'm having a real hard time finding any.

Unfortunately, the only sources I am aware of are US firms. Enco (www.use-enco.com ) will make international shipments, but you get to pick up the duty, etc. As an alternative to buying bushings, perhaps you can locate bushing material and fabricate your own. For example search for "oil impregrenated bronze solid rounds". Another possibility is to use replacement roller bearings for roller skates.Mikewww.mikesflightdeck.com

You can get them at any garage that fixes car alternators, starters and dinamos. They can also resize them to the size of your bolts.Seev

Can you give me more info on the type of bushing. I may be able to get 'oil lite' ones. I need the outside diameter, inside diameter and length. You say its for a M6 bolt - so the ID will be 6 mm. I could possibly machine them to length. How many?

Andy, Thanks mate thats a really kind offer. After an afternoon phonig round engineering shops on wednseday someone mentioned oilite bushes and a place in Paisley Scotland I could get some from. They arrived this morning. Hopefully I can make these do the job I need. Again thanks for the offer. Bill.

I would be interested to hear more details on what you're building. I have already rejected the FlightLink helo controls as not being their high price... And there aren't really any other alternatives that I'm aware of other than building 'em myself.thx,Dave Blevins
