Thats correct! You see that in the airbus is only 2 displays needed to schow the different frequenzes. You can select the displays with some buttons!i hope someone can help me!peter

Hi Peter, I just had a look at fsbus.deYou are correct in assuming that you only need to use 2 controllers per radio panel. To have the full 6 digits some people hardwire the first digit to 1 which leaves the 5 digits on the pcb for the controller to change, however if you just drop the last digit altogether to have 5 displays it makes no difference. Once you wire the button into place and press to change from standby to active the software will change the displays. Also do a search in this forum and have a look at this topic#3679, "7 Segment Display / Fsbus"Hope this helpsGaz

No ProblemThe fsbus display PCB contains max 6 controllers (Microcontroller and display board)with 5 7seg. on each. For one radio panel you would only need to use 2 of these controllers. If you wanted to build your A320 panel with 6 displays like they are on the aircraft then Digit No1 would be hardwired permanently as a 1 and would not be part of the board because the first digit is always the same and doesnt need to be changed. If you only want to have a five digit display (most common) then FSbus rounds the last digit eg: 119.550 would become 119.50 because F/S only recognizes 2 digits after the decimal point at the moment.Gaz

I understand what you mean though.* You have *one set* of active/standby displays: 131.25 <> 119.10* You have COM1, COM2, NAV1, NAV2, ADF, DME, FOO, BAR... buttons* When you press "NAV1" button to make it "active", it shows NAV1 freq.* When you press another, it shows that radio instead. So basically you have one "display" that shows whatever of those radios you want to show, one at a time.As far as I know, this does not work yet, but if I remember correctly, Dirk was saying this was one of his design goals, since he is building that kind of a radio himself too.Best,Tuomas
