March 15, 200422 yr Hi folks,I am a 747 classic cockpit builder. I wasn't consider to build any G/A cockpit BEFORE I see this one. Well, I know someone must prefer the old day. I like both. I have tio admit that it is attractive!! Especially putting this high technology on this ordiinary aircraft. I hope someone will write the simulating program for the G1000 soon as it will be widely used. Even on the Cessna Mustang and DA42http://www.se.cessna.com/g1000/features.htmhttp://www.se.cessna.com/g1000/images/wall...anel_04_big.jpgI really hope to build this cockpit. Glasscockpit with steam gauges!PS. wonder if Microsoft will put it as option in the next MSFS
March 17, 200422 yr No-one has yet announced a G1000-equipped FS airplane, but the similar "glass-cockpit" Cirrus SR20/22/V is being worked on. There are some preliminary screenshots here: http://www.flightfactory-simulations.com/P...gauge_panel.php (no release date has been set). The SR uses the Avidyne Entegra system. You can see several aircrafts' panels using Entegra in the animated GIF on this page: http://www.avidyne.com/Entegra/default.htmDave Blevinshttp://www.flightfactory-simulations.com/h...ster_banner.jpg System: Asus P8Z68 Deluxe/Gen3 mobo *** i7 2700K @ 5gHz w/ Corsair H80 cooler NVidia GTX 570 OC *** 8 GB 1600 Corsair Vengeance DRAM *** CoolerMaster HAF X case System overclocked and tuned for FSX by fs-gs.com Thrustmaster HOTAS Warthog stick/throttle & CH Products Pro Pedals Various GoFlight panels *** PFC avionics stack
March 17, 200422 yr Thanks Dave for the info.Nowaday, it seems easier to buy two LCD monitors to cover about 70% of the cockpit panel and looks realistic at the same time.We need to wait for someone like FFS to write such sophisticated program for the display. They are doing a great job!!!
