Nice!Don't be saddened by this forum not enjoying your results, it's just that here people looks more for big realistic things, than home made panels :)Are you using "lava" colour displays? In the photo they do not look nor amber nor red...

Nice work man!Could you let me know where you got the concentric rotary encoders ? And how much you payed for them.Hope to hear this from you soon cuz seen from your web url, you must be from BE :D

nice job. very clean looking. What is on the back...any way to see your connections and how you laid the components out?

You can find the rotary on this site : thttp://www.conrad.comor on this site http://www.velleman.be about 2.5

Nicely done!Conrad is so hard to search, having all components in the most weird places...I tried velleman but can't find them.Do you have any part number for those concernic rotaries? Thanks!George DorkofikisAthens, Greecehttp://www.precisionmanuals.com/images/forum/betaimg.jpg

try to www.farnell.com

Dito question. Can't find them on velleman site.I'll try conrad in a sec.Checked the farnell site as well .. no joyA part number or a direct link would be most helpful !

can't find it at vellemancan't find it at conradcan't find it at farnell:(little help ? cuz i need 2 or more of those ..

It's because he did them as most do: hacking 12 pos rotaries :)Don't get the freak out of your mind trying to find concentric rotaries as there are none ;)sadly enough :(

Ah i c.I checked the first movie and there indeed you can see ( and hear ) that these are no rot-encs but just rotary switches. Is it the fsbus soft that allows to use these as rotary encoders ?Seem to work great though I don't like them too much cuz the detents are way to strong.

FSBus does indeed cater for these rotary switches, as do most other input boards. And as for the detents, remove the cover and shorten the spring slightly. And get ready to catch the little ball bearings!

>Is it the fsbus soft that allows to use these as rotary>encoders ?Yes, buy connecting them in a particular way, FSBUS is able to obtain a "forward/backward" motion nad use them as encoders.>Seem to work great though I don't like them too much cuz the>detents are way to strong.Neighter do i, that's why i always try to find a way to use encoders ;)They aren't that expensive, so why not use them?
