external gauge exe

Recommended Posts

Manuel:"Not using OpenGL allows you to use an old PC (which you can get for free often) for your cockpit displays."My thoughts exactly. My external GA instrument panel and twin turbo Eicas panel (In the library as FSPanel2.zip and fseicas_135827.zip) were written specifically to let me use an old 486 laptop bent over backwards as my cockpit panel.Richard

Well, this shouldn't be a problema at all!I did the same (with the PMDG even!) with a very stupid Matrox! There is no OpenGL unless you get to ProjectMagenta or other EXTERNAL gauge. To detach a gauge from the main panel is simply a matter of DirectX.So you are right saying it's the S3 which can't cope with it.To find a Radeon 7000 or a Nvidia MX pci, just look over at ebay, there are usually plenty of these things. You could also be lucky anough to find a Parhelia, if you want it anyway ;)
