GreetingsI am nearing the completion of my FSBUS radio stack and need some help!!!!For "tuning" in my "stack", I use 2 phase encoders (Alps) & Redac circuits. I'm using the windows version of the FSBUS router and everything appears to be normal. When I change the transponder code in MSFS, the display works fine (with the exception of the last digit (least significant digit) as I'm using common anode displays). I've set the 4 encoders to count 1000, 100, 10 and 1 respectively. However, when I try to change the transponder code in my "stack", the code counts up and down in VERY ODD steps!!!! Does the transponder in FSBUS count up and down in "base 7", or something weird like that???? Also, I've tried every combination/setting I could think of in the router to make each encoder only change one digit on the transponder, but no matter what I did it always affected adjacent digits on a "carry/borrow"...... is this "the way it is", or is it a case where I just haven't "stumbled" upon the right combination yet???Any help at all would be greatly appreciated!!!!!!!ThanksGus

Do it with keyboard events in FSBUS (make your rotaries generate "up" and "down" key events for each knob, then hook those into XPDR_10_ADD and XPDR_10_DEC etc in FSUIPC configuration dialog. That's the only way I could do it myself - unless CCC has "modulo" or something. In any case the key events is the only way to make one knob use just one digit.Of course you could just do it with rotaries to "add value" to the numbers (and add -1 for the other direction), but then turning the rightmost knob will do 0004 0005 0006 0007 0010 0011 0012 0013 0014 0015 0016 0017 0020...//Tuomas

Hi TuomasThanks for the quick reply!!!!Is "up and down key event" the same as "up-down switch"... I'm assuming this is in the router??? I don't have a clue as to what "FSUPIC configuration dialog" is. I'm a analog hardware guy, so I'm only familiar with basic digital (no micro's) and my programming days ended with Fortran IV and Basic in college some 27 years ago. Could you provide a little more detail please???RegardsGus

It can be done.I'm out of the house. When I get back, I'll tell you how I did it so I could get the right increments for the transponder codes.
