Since I am mighty fed up with broken promises, lack of interest and the general poor service of those supplying sim parts and aircraft parts to simmers as well as a possible major change in direction in my life. I am considering giving up on my sim.I'm canvassing possible interest in my sim. It's a real Beechcraft Queenair fuselage section. USB connections to the Yokes, rudders and all engine controls. Athlon XP3200 with 1gig of ram. VGA splitter, brand new Infocus 2000 lumen XGA PJ,15 and 17 inch LCD monitors,Psone LCD screen,2 sets of Simkits flight instruments( 1 CCU ) 24 volt PSU for white and red panel illumination and a host of other bits and pieces.see it at http://simflight.fotopic.net

LOL, well I'm considering emigrating. And I may well get to do more real flying in a world where the sun actually shines.Like i said, I'm tired of the broken deadlines and promises from many of the sim builder suppliers. I think that it's a bit too much of people reckoning on running a proper business in their spare time.I'm sure that I'm not the only one frustrated with the attitude out there.I have run my PSone screen from a second pci g card on tvout. I was just gonna use it for a GPS. The resolution isn't the best, but do able though I was gonna try the mod that you refer to.To be honest sometimes I think maybe I shoulda stuck with my original FDS 737NG panels. that company must be one of the few that keeps on releasing more and more for simbuilders.I've chased parts from all over the world and came within inches of buying a real 727 nose, but you often just can't deal with people in this game unless you offer em tens of thousands and even then I don;t think that would help.I guess if noone comes forward with a decent offer then I might just mothball my sim. i've come to love big Beechcraft twins, especially since I made a trip to take some parts from an almost complete Queenair (they are a big aircraft! )As an aside, I have all the tech logs for my Queenair as well as an original sales brochure,POH and magazine advert, all from the 60'sIt was first used as a commuter airliner with Sabena and I have a pic of its sister ship in the same livery as mine wore when it was brand new.

Stick to it dude !I know sometimes it's hard doing the thing with a less obvious type of plane. It brings a lot of DIY, not cuz you can do it, not cuz you can't afford other sollutions, just because there is no alternative.I suggest to you to maybe go back to do some desktop flying. It's a good chance to do proper flying which probably doesn't work yet from the sim. At first it will be fun, though soon enough you will realise why you ran away from the desktop. It will renew your courage to continue.I know what you mean about the frustrations. I even lost

I am considering giving>up on my sim.Well, we have had a lot of new companies and efforts the last year or so offering all kinds of stuff for this hobby..But it's still about you and your imagination, clever ideas and handworking skills. Many of the commercial offerings are in their infancy, created by people who have not done much commercial production before you can see etc.. No wonder there are issues, just general incompetence and #### about things -- this is still very much a "figure it out yourself -hobby". Some of the older players in the field know their stuff, they know the real price they need to ask in order to be able to deliver in time and to keep doing their stuff in the future too. I think we all should know by now that there is no such thing as a $5 laser-engraved, color-matched backlightable overhead panel for B737 :)So, back to basics: Use your own brains, build in stages, try to keep it "flyable" as much as you can, since this is a BIG project, so you need all the inspiration you can - and you get that from doing something and then flying with that add-on thingy. Then build more. Let the kids fight if they feel like it. Concentrate on your own thing..//Tuomas

I agree that it is a hands on engineering feat...plan plan and plan...but it can be done.

Thanks everybody.I'm gonna carry on, but I think that I will just do some flying right now and let the frustration pass.I guess that you all know the feeling, you can't cut metal because you are waiting for some new release, you don't want to rely on what a company says, but then you know that you might build something and get it finished just as they release what they promised months ago etc etc.I'll wait and see if any of the companies that i have ordered off/enquired with come up with the goods. If not I guess that i will have to start learning code and get some more practice soldering !It'a amazing what a couple of hours of watching sim/aviation programs can do for your enthuiasm

Hi,Its good to see you are going to carry on.i know how you feel.My sim is not on the scale of yours. But when you are continually cutting marking and painting and things dont go right i to have felt like giving up.However giving things a break for a while does wonders for the soul. One thing i found to be very helpful as mentioned by tigert was to mix your building with flying.Once i got to the stage where i could fly and build,my interest rapidly increased.I looked at your site and your sim will be awsome when complete.I think some flying for a while will be a goog medcine.Les
