Rather than PVC, you might find Delrin (acetyl plastic) gears will work better. Delrin has a much lower coefficient of friction. You might check with Serv-o-link. It's a US firm, but they may ship international.Mikewww.mikesflightdeck.com

Hi,I got my gears from a German firm who has a sellingpoint in Belgium namely Maedler. http://www.maedler.de/katalog_de/katalog/index_antrieb.htm -> then ZahnraderI didn't choose de Delrin because they are a lot more expensive then the Azetalresin ones. For instruments you best make your choice in de modulus of 0.5 because the otherwise you have gears with to big teeths. For Belgium I got this contact:ir. Hendrik D'hontnv. D'hont - nv.
