My 737-800 cockpit

They are some photos of my Boeing 737-800 :http://www.opencockpits.com/uploads/mvc/IMGP0067c.jpghttp://www.opencockpits.com/uploads/mvc/IMGP0081c.jpghttp://www.opencockpits.com/uploads/mvc/IMGP0084c.jpghttp://www.opencockpits.com/uploads/mvc/IMGP0085c.jpgThis is not only my work. Some friends help me to build. This cockpit is a base of new improvements in cockpits builds :- Throttle quadrant with a controller for 4 DC-motors for SBreaks, AutoTH motor 1 and 2, and trim. servo-motor for trim indicator, etc.- Use of IOCards for all electronics (gauges included, like compass with stepper motors, servo-motors for flaps, ADI...)- Use of SIOC for IOCards and simulations.- Use of ON-737 for system simulations and glass cockpit.- Use of X-plane for main simulator program.

VERY NICE setup, you have there! Looks amazing. Is the TQ and the rudder-pedals home-made? If so, what about drawings and wiring-diagrams?:-)Are the standby-instruments from Simkits?Regards,JP

TQ and pedals are home-made.The author of those designs is Pedro Bibiloni. Standby instruments used are from real planes adapted with motors and IOCards.

This is amazing work. Is the throttle quadrant homebuilt or is it a 'real' unit adapted for flight sim? It looks absolutely real but the only hint that it might be homemade is that the switch guards for the autopilot & trim disconnect switches seem to be missing. Otherwise, it looks absolutely like a real 737 throttle assembly. If this is home made, then it sets a new standard which will be hard to beat :-)Also, what is "ON-737 for system simulations and glass cockpit".Thanks,

I'd really be interested in a link for the building of that throttle. I have a B727-200 desktop set-up and would like to re-build my throttle. Although functional it's not near as nice as that.Does the builder/designer have a site?Great set-up you have there. Looks absolutely real.

Amazing work!are the radio panels home-made?Yaniv

:-eek :-eek :-eek :-eek :-eek :-eek :-eek :-eek :-eek :-eek :-eek (Trying to get back in the chair... Shaky hands trying to type)...Is there any chance to have the drawings for this beauty ?!It sure looks like either you have a router at home or found somewhere to cut/manufacture those aluminium parts! Where?!I can't think of anything strong enough to say!George DorkofikisAthens, Hellashttp://online.vatsimindicators.net/811520/1704.png

ON-737 is a develop for emulate systems of a boeing 737-800This program have two parts : 1) Glass cockpit2) Systems simulationsThis program emulate all systems (electric bus, hidraulics, neumatics, fuel...) and can simulate fails. You can cut a wire in the system, and you can see damage in your plane. For example, a fail in hidraulic system can fail controls. You have one module for simulations, one module for IOCards and one module for flight simulator (MSFS and X-plane).All program use three SIOC servers interlaceds for each module. In this moment the project are 80% completed. And when this system are 100% completed i think is the simulation more complex and complete for a home-made cockpit. Remember, not is a simulation of procedures for switches and lights. Is a true simulation for each wire, tube... You can cut a wire and can wait like your plane have a fail and like alternate systems works.

Those radio panels has been buyed in FDS and are connected to IOCards.

I have sent the drawings to a company so that it made the cuts, other companies have been in charge to make the turning, fold, soldier...

I'm afraid to ask, but I will... You don't have to answer. How much did it cost you? (The throttles I mean)George DorkofikisAthens, Hellashttp://online.vatsimindicators.net/811520/1704.png
