Cirrus Jet Yoke

Featured Replies

I have just purchased the Cirrus Jet Yoke from Flypfc.com and want to know if anybody else has used this yoke and what their thoughts are on it. It's a little on the high side and was just wandering how it compares with other yokes or if there is another yoke out there that is better than this one. I thought that the Jetliner pedestal yoke was out of my budget since you then have to buy throttles to go with it and the middle console to mount them on, whereas the Cirrus Jet Yoke has a built-in throttle with it, and might give a better feel than the CH types that are currently out there in mass. The Cirris Jet Yoke is also an 'USB type' set-up and hopefully will work with my 'analog CH rudder pedals'....Does anybody have any thoughts on the above and will the CH pedals (which are analog) work with the USB Cirrus Jet Yoke??Regards, noullet

My guess is that all the high-end dollars being spent are for the latest push-button MCP's (which we can readily engage with our existing mouse), and our plastic... (Far From The Real World)... YOKES to bolt onto our encapsulated cockpits, which have our 9 Sony monitors projecting the unfolding scenes of the main gear as it resonates from our $1,000.00 surround sound systems.....Just kidding..Thought I'd get a rise out of someone out there.Seriously, Is there anyone out there that has any comments on the PFC Cirrus Jet Yoke?? There are so many talented builders on this site that I thought someone would have some experience with the Cirrus or the pedestal column yoke for that matter.Regards & remember, I was only kidding on the above.jack

I don't have any comments on the product except to say that I'm going to buy one one of these days.I'd like to hear what you think of the product. How the feel compares to whatever you had been using or have used in the past.

I'll post my comments on the Cirrus Jet Yoke after I receive it from PFC. They told me it went out the door yesterday and to allow 5 to 7 days for delivery as I live in S.C.I'm currently using the CH FlightSim yoke & pedals which are of the analog set-up. I bought them back in 1998 to use with PS1.2, which is now PS1.3a.I have logged several hours in the 737NG-700 real simulator and this is the prime reason that I'm switching yokes and purchased the Cirrus Jet Yoke from PFC. I have found that there is absolutely no comparison between the real simulator and the CH yoke. I have however learned a lot in the interim using the CH yoke & rudders in unison so the purchase of the original CH products have not been in vane. However, they are now an extremely long way off from the real feeling of manually taking off and landing the real thing. The real 737NG simulator cost approx.$25 million and according to the check pilot who flew with me a month ago about 98 percent of it is realistic and it had to meet very stringent requirements to be FAA certified. I believe they purchased it a year or so ago.. It can be configured to handle the -600 thru -900 series. It's very impressive. Once I figure out how to download onto the internet using Window media player, I'll show you some of the takeoffs & landings and also an engine out manual takeoff after V1 and the manual landing that I did with the right engine out with a 800 foot ceiling...Was it realistic...you better believe it. I surprised myself...So, I'll let you all know what I think of it and how close to the real simulator it is next week.Regards, jack

I hope you find it meets your expectations. One inescapable fact in this hobby is that 'Reality' is expensive. You'll find that the closer you model an aircraft to reality, the cost goes up exponentially.

I've been flying various light aircraft for over 15 years now and the CH yoke isn't even close to what a Cessna or Mooney yoke feels like...either in flight or on the ground. But I wouldn't expect a $100 yoke to have those characteristics.I hope the Cirrus does a better job of creating that feel.
