Fsbus stepper

Yoss, I should learn to ask all my questions in one reply but anyway, I have another question. My question is regarding programing the Amtel. Can the PonyProg interface that Dirk has in the Stepper documentation be used (6pin ISP on the programmer interface connected to the 6pin ISP on the stepper board) to program the amtel directly? In other words, I don't have to build a purpose built programming board other than the little interface Dirk has suggested.Hope that makes sense.David

More reading, more questions. On Dirks little PonyProg interface, do you or anyone else know the values of C1, C2, D1, and which transistor is Tr1 (what's the serial number). After that I'm hoping I've got it figured.

David//In other words, I don't have to build a purpose built programming board other than the little interface Dirk has suggested.//Yea -thats all you need//On Dirks little PonyProg interface, do you or anyone else know the values of C1, C2, D1, and which transistor is Tr1 (what's the serial number).//C1=470mkf x 50vC2=100mkf x 16vShould be okD1--almoust any diod will go --u can use for example BA159 or equvivalentT1--almoust any low power npn type --like BC 639 Hope tnats helps

Cheers, thanks Yoss

Update on construction of Fsbus stepper.I have made the board and populated it. Could not get it to flash with the little design that Dirk suggested.Made a little LPT flasher and it worked fine.Put the chip in the board, connected up a unipolar stepper.... nothing.Very disappointing. So here's what I've got:I have given the board a CID of 14. I don't have MSFS installed on this machine, only the FSBus router.I suspected that the motor should have powered up once 5vdc from an ATX powersupply was applied but the motor still moves freely. Is it possible to test it in the router?Does the motor only power up when your in MSFS?I checked the board for shorts before populating it and it was fine.It seems 1% building, 99% problem solving.Has anyone built one that is working or has worked? All input greatly appreciated.David

Will be testing this, on the week-end so will let you know how it goes. Here's fingers crossed.David
